I had the All American Burger and Vermont Cheddar Burger without bacon and a petite lemon square and strawberry cake for dessert. Both tasted good.
Update: August 2024; Sirloin with mashed potatoes and broccoli tasted good but portion to price was small. Not so with the chocolate cake!
Update: March 2025; The regular cheeseburger is good! The bartender Mary was great !
Free refills on my unsweetened iced tea.
Update: July 2025; I brought my son here for dinner ️. He had chicken tenders with rice pilaf and broccoli . I had the Chicken Marsala with rice pilaf and broccoli. We both enjoyed our meal. My daughter likes the mac and cheese .
I liked this 99 Restaurant and I am going to recommend it.
I ordered the turkey tips which were overcooked that they were so dry inside snd mashed potatoes were cold. This could be because it look so ling for it to come out.
This wS disappointing for me. One good thing was the cookie skillet that the girls enjoyed.
Fine for the lids but In mo rush to return.
While we often enjoy the 99 in other towns, the Londonderry restaurant is failing.
Last Saturday, our party of three sat at the corner of the bar with a clear view of the kitchen. What we saw explained a lot.
It took 70 minutes for three hamburgers to arrive.
My “medium” burger was well done; my friend’s “medium rare” was also well done and had to be sent back. I ate mine only because I was starving.
The bartender/server was surly and dismissive—she’d ask a question while walking away and never once checked back after serving our meals. No apology.
When my friend asked to speak to the manager, he admitted things were “not right” and said he’d been called up from the Cape to manage the location because they were “really backed up.” He offered a gift card, but that doesn’t fix the problems we saw.
We could see plated food sitting on the pick-up shelf for 15 minutes before being delivered. (I timed it.)
We’ve been loyal 99 customers for years—in Amesbury, Stoneham, Andover, and Woburn—but this location has earned a spot off our list for at least a year.
Shameful for a brand that usually gets it right.
I got the sirloin steak with a baked potato and broccoli. The steak was worse quality than a hamburger, overcooked and dry like a hockey puck. I couldn’t eat it. Even the potato was bland and I couldn’t get salt out of the grinder. The last time I went there I was disappointed too and figured the cook had a bad night. We won’t be back to this location.
The food was excellent and the steak tips were cooked perfectly.
Our waitress Chrissy was an absolute pleasure. Friendly and all around amazing service from this wonderful woman.
The lack of star is strictly due to the lack of communication between the host and kitchen.
The host had us wait despite there being open tables, which Chrissy had pointed out to the host after we had sat for a bit waiting.
The entrees were sent out by the kitchen a few minutes prior to the appetizer leaving the kitchen. This was honestly a first for me and left me confused as to even take the apps at this point, seeing how it defeats the entire purpose of ordering a starter.
Petite deserts were delicious!
Will be back!
We request tables instead of booths as due to my husband’s medical he is on the hefty side.(The young man seating us ignored the request at first) after seating us in a booth I had to go back to the front and request to be moved. We were moved without issue and our server was lovely. She did well with my kids. Hopefully she remembers to refill drinks next time. Menu offered an excellent variety. Steak, Seafood, burgers, and the kids menu has the usual grilled cheese/chicken/burger selection with an ice cream sandwich to top it all off.
I highly recommend trying their frozen drinks!
