Looking forward to a nice lunch and drink after a long drive was greeted with the most miserable bartender who wanted absolutely nothing to do with us. She seemed to be more interested in going around the bar collecting her tips in serving us we waited 23 minutes and it was only six people at the bar decide to have a food to go we didn’t want to stay and that was all messed up too we can tell why she was taking our order she was not focused on us whatsoever kind of made our lunch or miserable

We were visiting from out of town and stopped in at the 99 for dinner. We sat at the bar and was served by out bartender (Kris). She was extremely friendly and the service was great. Seated next to us was a man with an obvious learning disability. Kris served him with such patience that it was obvious that she was very experienced.

The food was great, including the sundae that my wife and I shared.

We highly recommend and will definitely stop by again the next time we visit Cape Cod.

Nancy, my server was fantastic. As a very recent widow 3 weeks, because of Nancy I did not feel awkward dining alone, she put me at ease. We chatted a bit, told her I was once a server, not always easy work, told her a little about my recent loss. Nancy asked if she could give me a hug, I said yes it was just what I needed! I had boneless buffalo tenders, excellent and baked stuffed shrimp also very good!

Great place for a late night bite. Our server was fantastic. She was quick and attentive. Dood was good, fries could have been fresher.

Three beer limit! Sitting at the bar, having a few beers with friends on a Friday night, and the barkeep tells us no more than 3 beers per person. None of us were drunk, nor loud…just mellow customers in a mostly empty bar area. The 9s has failed.

The food was great, but we felt snubbed by the bartender who was serving us (me and my husband). She ignored us for 5+ minutes then slapped down popcorn without saying a word. The rest of the night, we had to flag her down to get her to notice us. One time I was speaking to her and she literally pretended she couldn’t hear me until her coworker awkwardly pointed us out. Basically she made us feel unwanted at the facility. I think she must have been having a bad day, or just doesn’t like summer tourists. Or maybe she was annoyed that we came in at 9 pm (restaurant closes at 10:30 btw). I will say, she started clanging materials around at 9:30 while she was loudly packing up the bar, so I think she wanted us all to leave by 10.

Not sure what’s happened at this location because the food used to be really good. The French and soup was so bready With hardly any broth in it, not to mention, there was not one onion in it. It was too salty to even eat it. The baked stuffed shrimp was awful. The shrimp was overcooked and chewy like an elastic and the stuffing had a very weird flavor. Not sure what went wrong, but my husband and I have decided to boycott the 99 RESTAURANT in Mashpee. It used to be one of our favorite places a while ago, and we’ve noticed it has a lot to be desired. What a shame.!! The Buffalo chicken Fingers were delicious And the baked potato, For what that’s worth. The manager made good on The bill, but that doesn’t change the fact that we were extremely disappointed. ☹️

Great service and cozy atmosphere. Food was good although our stakes were a little dry. Overall we had a good time as a family.

**Awful Experience at the 99 – A Family’s Disappointment** Would give a zero ⭐️

I feel compelled to share our disheartening experience at the 99, a place we had hoped would provide a fun night of dinner and baseball. Instead, it turned into a frustrating saga that left us feeling neglected and unvalued as customers.

We walked in as a family of three on a Thursday, ready to enjoy dinner and catch the Red Sox game. Sounds like a winning combination, right? But our hopes were dashed the moment we encountered the hostess, Susan. We requested to be seated on the bar side, where the TVs are, and were met with a firm refusal. Why? Because it was trivia night, and apparently, that takes precedence over customers who simply want to enjoy a game.

We even went the extra mile, offering to participate in trivia to secure a table—after all, the place was far from packed at the time. Yet our eagerness was met with indifference. Susan’s tone matched her attitude; it was dismissive, lacking any semblance of hospitality.

When we asked to speak to a manager, hoping for some resolution or at least an empathetic ear, we were met with yet another wave of disappointment. The manager seemed unconcerned that we were leaving without being seated because of the arbitrary rules enforced by the staff. It was clear that our presence—and our money—meant little to them.

In a nutshell, our visit to the 99 was a monumental letdown. Instead of a lively dinner filled with good food and spirits, we left feeling frustrated and disrespected. It’s baffling that a restaurant would prioritize trivia over its patrons, especially when the tables were wide open. As a family who enjoys dining together and supporting local establishments, we certainly won’t be returning anytime soon.

To the management of the 99: it’s time to rethink your policies and train your staff on the value of customer service. A warm welcome and flexible accommodations can go a long way in keeping customers satisfied—and coming back.
