I wad in harrisburg for work, and dropped in for a quick lunch. This was my first time there, but definitely not my last! You never really know what to expect at a smalI town diner, but this place is awesome. The waitress was super friendly and spent a bunch of time explaining what their specialties are and what was new… I had heard about The Grilled Cheese experience that Foor for Lane County was doing, so when she explained what theirs was I thought “what the heck”, and tried it. Oh my goodness! It was incredible! The sandwich was amazing the parmesan crust on the bread was heavenly, and the fries were perfect. I ordered the “old fries” which are dipped… I usually order tots if available, but thought those would compliment the sandwich better, and they were perfect! Bottom line… cool spot, great service, and amazing food all at a fair price. Yep… I’ll be back soon!

First time visit.

Nice retro atmosphere . .

Friendly service!

Good, home style food!

I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. It came with perfectly cooked green beans, pasta and super fresh salad w/blue cheese dressing on the side.

I got a brownie to go and had a piece of excellent Banana Cream Pie!

Yum yum yum!

My husband and I went to 99 Grill last night for dinner and had such a wonderful experience. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt that taken care of at a restaurant. Our server had long brown hair and she was just fantastic. So kind and personable. She took the time to explain the grilled cheese experience to us and told us about the dinner special without rushing through it. You can really tell when someone enjoys what they do.
I was honestly torn on what to order because everything sounded good. I’ve always loved a good pot pie, though, so I decided to go with that. Let me just say I used to think the best pot pie I’d had was from KFC, and this one completely blew it out of the water. It was hot, flavorful, and just felt homemade in the best way.
Our drinks were kept filled the entire time without us having to ask, my husband’s breakfast was cooked perfectly, and she checked on us just enough to make sure we were happy without hovering. That balance is hard to find, and she nailed it.
We’ll definitely be back. It was just a really lovely evening all around.

An enjoyable weekday lunch with a 50s vibe while motorcycling through the area. Tasty lunch topped off with a slice of pumpkin pie!! Easy parking. Well worth the stop; we’ll be back! Thanks.

NOT SO LOST NOMAD
A fun diner with lots of nostalgia! Diner menu with lots of options. Ordered the club sandwich and fries. Everything tasted fresh and the shoe string fries cooked perfectly. Waitress was very sweet and stayed on top of refills and helpfulness.
Will be back soon! Definately worth the drive off the interstate for dining options in a cozy little town.

Great breakfast spot! It was busy with a Santa breakfast with kids but we didn’t wait long and service and food were great! Greek scramble was delish!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Service Was Remarkably Bad

We went to the 99 Grill for lunch last Sunday, which was disappointing given that we’ve generally had good experiences here in the past. Unfortunately, this visit stood out for how poor the service was.

Our waitress, Lani, seemed far more preoccupied with socializing at other tables and adjusting her poorly applied glue-on eyelashes than attending to her section. Frankly, the lashes were distracting enough that it was hard not to notice and if she insists on wearing them at work, she should consider having them done professionally.

We were largely ignored throughout the meal. Our drinks were never refilled, and our food sat under the heat lamp long enough to affect the quality. When it finally arrived, the fries were cold and my burger bun was soggy. She disappeared for over 15 minutes at one point, never checked back after dropping off the food, and didn’t even cash us out. The hostess had to step in, and she was the only bright spot in the experience.

The waitress was also repeatedly sniffing, which was uncomfortable and made us question whether she should have been working around food.

The food itself is usually good, which only makes the service failure more noticeable. If you value basic attentiveness, I’d recommend avoiding her section, especially on Sundays.

Horrible food, bacon was burnt and tasted sour on the ones we could eat, potatoes raw. Service sucked!!!

The atmosphere was fantastic and family friendly, the food was excellent, I highly recommend the taco omelette!
The ladies working were friendly and fun. The food was so good that folks were happily waiting in the parking lot to get a table.
I would definitely stop again

Cute and kitschy home style diner with retro decor on the walls with baked goods made on site! The coffee was fantastic, a comment I have not made about any diner in at least a decade. Reasonable prices, good food with large portions, and great service.
