Great spot for bbq and awesome customer service. Loved everything about it. Had the brisket sandwich and fries. I had the bread pudding for dessert which also was very good. Everything made in house. A must try if you love bbq.

Update: I was here once again and they did not disappoint at all. The food is great! I had ribs, home fries and a salad. It was so good and fresh. The staff is always so nice and friendly. I highly recommend!
This place came highly recommended by Dr. Dr. Arthur Womble, a good friend of mine. I was not disappointed. I ordered the 4 bone ribs with a side salad and fries. I don’t know what kind of fries they were, but they were so delicious and freshly cooked! Once I started eating, I couldn’t stop. They were plentiful and I couldn’t eat them all. I noticed they gave me a half slab of ribs instead of 4 bone. I brought it to the waitresses’ attention. I told her that I couldn’t eat all of that. I only ate 3 and gave the rest away. Everything was delicious. My waitress was great and very attentive. Nice atmosphere. I will be back as I do make frequent trips to Destin. I highly recommend!

You’ll probably drive right by this BBQ joint on US 98 & not think twice about stopping. It’s tucked away in a small commercial shopping center & there isn’t anything that jumps out & says, “Hey! We have the best BBQ in Santa Rosa Beach!” We doing 98 BBQ thanks to Google reviews & it did not disappoint! I had a new item on the menu: pork belly bites. Do. Not. Leave. Without trying the pork belly bites. They have this sweet, tangy spicey glaze that is absolutely delicious and the pork belly itself was perfectly cooked; crunchy, savory- the best we’ve ever had. Hands down.
We also had a combo platter with ribs, brisket, fries and baked beans. My husband is a big time bbq guy & hard to please when it’s something he hasn’t grilled or smoked himself and he agrees that this place is worth the hype. If you’re in the area. You have to stop and try the best bbq in town. Great staff and service to boot.

I ordered some briskets and ribs dinner Plate halfway through my meal I felt something in between my teeth and it was a hair. I threw the food away. Call the restaurant talk to Jill. She said she would have the owner call me which they never did. My wife happened to be looking for her credit card and they forgot to give her her credit card back. I went back the next day. Of course I complain about it and jill accused me of being rude over the phone, which I was not. I guess one of the owners understood that I was angry the day before so he replaced the dinner that I had thrown away. Long story short it wasn’t any better and I’m for sure. I’ll never go back to this restaurant. It’s disgusting. And Jill is a rude person will not go back just because of her demeanor.

We were from out of town, and had a long day and needed food. We came in a little close to closing but nonetheless, the staff was very attentive and quick. The amount of food we got for the price was impressive. All of the meats (ribs, brisket, and chicken) were very tender and tasty, the fries and bread were hot and crispy, BBQ beans were flavorful, and the coleslaw was cool and crunchy. The variety of BBQ sauces complimented the food well.
Will definitely be back again, this is a great BBQ joint and would highly recommend to anyone without hesitation.

My husband and I visited from Atlanta GA. We ordered combo platter- brisket and chicken. Everything was delicious! I love fried fried okra, 98 Barbecue, you brought back memories of my grandma’s orka! OH! I can’t forget bread pudding – phew I have to try the award winning gumbo when I come back!

My tour guide ‘M’ and I arrived 10 minutes prior to closing time. The young man at the front greeted us and reminded us they would be closing soon, but we were definitely able to dine in. We opted to carry out since we were so close to paradise. We ordered rib tips (out of burnt ends), side salads, and onion rings. There was plenty of food for leftovers, and it was delicious! Smoke flavor was a little heavy this time but still the same consistency in quality and price! 30.00 fed 2 adults twice.

bathrooms were clean, and it was the end of the night before the closing process began! I peeked in the kitchen on my way back from the restroom…staff had gloves on packaging up an order. Doing it right when no one is looking.
