Other than that, this is a super fun place for hanging out. Live music, several food trucks, bar, lots of seating, places for the kids to run around. Huge TV screen with the game on.
The food here is all from food trucks, I like a lot of food trucks I want them once or twice a week at work. But the quality of food at the Cuban food truck, that they serve here was sub par. Decent variety, but the quality reminded me of an elementary school lunch. Even the liquid cheese for the French fries I had was gross. I paid $16 for a chorizo style brat and French fries with the cheese that wouldn’t coagulate. I expected it to be edible.
They had a band playing on a nice looking stage, a sitting area on some big landscaping rocks, picnic tables, beer garden outside, it was impressively clean, and a good size dance floor. They had people playing cards, board games, cornhole, etc.
The music is at the perfect volume, still jam out and hold a conversation with a group of people with our having to yell.
A inflatable mister for those hot days, clean bathrooms outside near the stage, a gazebo away from everything so if you wanted to talk quietly.
If we can get some decent food in there, this could really be a hopping spot!
Practically all local beers on tap.
We parked right in front on the cantina and got here before the trucks opened, but as the night went on the parking lot filled up quite a bit. This was on like a Wednesday afternoon/evening.
2024 update
The beer feels aggressively expensive. A 20 oz Guinness cost me $12. Feel like they should be more on-par with a nice bar. Still cool vibes though.
Plus, the parking situation is a breeze, making it all the more enjoyable. I highly recommend checking it out!. I will go
Back too!
The venue is perfect for families, pet owners, sports lovers, arts and crafts fair shoppers, and anyone who enjoys live music or trivia. They’re always having some event going on, and it’s always a good time. I’ve seen people of all ages, backgrounds, and mobility enjoy their time here. And it’s nice because 9 mile has a great staff who will answer any questions, are timely, and keep the place looking spotless.
The big entertainment screen is great quality, the bathrooms are clean, the Canteen has great alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
Can’t recommend highly enough. Bring your friends, and make sure to stop by often to catch all the trucks!
We dragged a couple friends with us to celebrate my birthday and had a good time. The weather didn’t fully cooperate but we made the best of it. There’s quite a bit of parking available on either side of the “road” where the food trucks park though I would still recommend you get here early.
9 mile garden has a very solid social media presence, so you’ll want to go there for food truck listings and links, as well as status updates if the weather looks sketchy.
There’s a drink tent outside for soda, water, etc and several beers and stuff. The cantina just next door has what appears to be a very full bar.
I think there were 6-8 food trucks that night, mostly dinner but there was a dessert truck. As best as I can tell, they all take plastic or cash.
There are quite a few tables, lots of people chill on the rocks, but I’m glad we brought our chairs. Band was nice (again, info on social media) and the bathroom is centrally located.
Seemed to be very kid friendly and I saw folks watching the game on the big screen opposite the stage or playing corn hole. I will definitely be back! 🙂
