I visited today(2/28) and ordered beef noodles for my kid. Unfortunately, there were visible dark green/black mold patches on the noodles. I showed this to the staff immediately.
Instead of acknowledging the issue or apologizing, the staff denied it and responded rudely. A $20 cash refund was given when I requested a refund. But I was then asked to calculate and return the exact change for $15.98+tax myself. The entire situation was handled unprofessionally and without any concern for food safety, especially it was served to a kid.
They have Taiwanese food as well as dim sum available. When you walk inside, there is plenty of seating. The seats are very comfortable. You can order from the kiosk or from the register. We ordered a side of popcorn chicken, fried tofu, and Taiwanese fried chicken cutlet bento. If you follow them on ig or FB, you get free scallion pancakes. The portions are very generous. Both of the fried chickens were very juicy and crispy. The scallion pancakes were soft but firm.. Fried tofu was good, make sure you eat it with the sauce. We didn’t get a chance to try any of the drinks but we will next time. Prices were fair. This is the closest Taiwanese spot to me, so I will definitely be back.
I hope they can focus more on authentic Taiwanese snacks, similar to Munchies Plus in Downtown. Although Munchies Plus is more expensive and not enough meat and vegetables, the flavors are very authentic. I think this place’s prices are just right, and if they could take inspiration from Munchies Plus to offer more genuine Taiwanese snacks, it would be great. I also really like the decor, with signs featuring different cities in Taiwan—it looks beautiful.
Overall, the two dishes I’ve tried so far are very satisfying and delicious!
The braised pork has fresh thick and juicy pieces of meat with a light sauce that goes smoothly with the rice and egg.
Also, the quality of the interior of the store and even their bags are amazing!
