It’s always a wonderful time when I am here! The food is delicious and the drinks are always so cutely made! 8th Ward is one of our fav stops every time we want good drinks and food! They always decorate according to holiday along with cute themed drinks to match. I love when it’s summer and the garage doors are open so you can get fresh air and a nice breeze, love it! It was just Valentine’s Day and it was the perfect place to bring your Valentine out for cute drinks ❤️

I love this cute little bar!! They are always nice and busy but still the atmosphere is just amazing! I love the garage doors that they can leave open on nice days…it really just adds a nice vibe. And they had a little firepit outside too! I love their specialty drinks too…they change the list depending on the season (I assume) or maybe its monthly. But either way they are delicious. Their food is always good here too! We love their charcuterie boards and flatbreads! Never had something here that was bad! We will be back very soon!

This was our 2nd week going and the only reason we gave it a 2 star was because the week before was pretty good. So a week later we decided let’s try it again. Got there at about 10:30 pm. It was somewhat busy but slow to get a drink. Went to sit down at a gaming machine to decompress a bit from the long week. Turned around and I saw a little girl standing next to what appeared to be a drunk male. He kept having her touch what game to play. After a few mins I politely advised it’s after 10 and she can’t be in this area. This is posted as an Illinois gaming statute . He got up from the machine and left the little girl stand there alone for a few mins. The next thing I know there was a drunk woman screaming profanity at me that her bartender called off and she had to bring her daughter to the bar. I cashed out my machine as she was threatening she could refuse service to us and ban us. She ripped the ticket from my hand turned her back on me and cashed out my ticket. She threw the change at me …then picked it up and forcefully handed it to me, threatened to throw the donation bucket of change at me. She set it down and then clapped her hands in my face in a threatening manner while she was belligerently screaming. I calmly told her don’t do that again. We set our unfinished drinks down, and proceeded to the front door. She physically blocked me and wouldn’t let us walk out the front door where I told her we parked but forced us out the back door because she said she had cameras out there. She continued to scream all the way out and across the parking lot as we calmly left and didn’t engage her.
We understand the stresses of parenthood and work life balance. We figure she took her stress out on us. However, we refuse to be a punching bag in public for someone when we did nothing wrong.

Side Note….when I got into the truck I noticed she never gave me the 10$ from my ticket cash out. So not only does she endanger children, she is a drunk and and a thief.

This place has the aesthetic of a cute/hip modern bar but the actually vibe is a bit more local dive bar. The pictures of the food looked good however it IS pricey. They had loads of mocktails options which I appreciate and seasonal specials. Their happy hour has great prices.
Even though we knew the food was pricey, we still got the Mediterranean charcuterie with meats and cheese but it took nearly 45 minutes for it to come out. Now, granted, there were some good items on that board but for the wait and the price I would say skip it.

OMG Jess. The absolute BEST. Seriously the best drinks and the best company. Jess is the sweetest and most attentive bartender I’ve ever had (and I am dating a bartender) Jess always remembers what I like and will have it poured before I’m even sitting down. Plus she’s so funny and cute and I just all around love her. The place is great, love the garage doors and have met so many great people hear!

Came here to this wonderful, upcycled, old mid-century filling station/garage with my girls. What a delightful experience! Drinks ALL on point. They had several delicious concoctions, even a few Tequila and Mezcal selections. If your palate is sweet or savory (mine is more the latter), they have a creative recipe for you. This is not a fast-serve, slam ’em down place… although I guess you could slam if you wanted. These drinks are crafted, and if you make good drinks at home, you know that it takes more than 30 seconds to pull off a well-balanced drink… (we are NOT talking rum & coke)
Bar is predominant inside with several pub tables around perimeter and several more tables/firepit spots outside…
The front wall is mostly two garage doors that open to the outside patio – creating one big, happy spot.
The bartender was delightfully friendly and very knowledgeable. She knew her stuff.
The food was excellent, too. Stuffed mushrooms, chicken lettuce wraps… Everything was delicious. Can’t wait for another girls’ trip to make this a must-do… Or maybe even sooner without the girls!

I just called to ask if they ever have live music. I didn’t even get my words across before I was rudely interrupted. This is how I was treated:

The lady who answered said – “it’s lunch time and we’re too busy to talk to you.”

Like, damn. How rude. Who answers a phone like that? I mean, seriously. Then she proceeded to literally hang up on me. Unreal!

Do not come here. Do not spend your money here. Anyone that treats customers that way deserves to fail and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Surprisingly nice little spot! When we walked in, we weren’t sure but we were greeted instantly and offered a nice variety of seasonal cocktails. The holiday decorations were a nice touch

Rude bartenders and unprofessional behavior:
My boyfriend and I went here for a late lunch and to check out the place, as we’ve driven by it before. After sitting, our waitress (I think her name was Jen) asked for our drink order. When we ordered only water she proceeded to give us a dirty look and asked if we wanted vodka in it. We were taken aback but continued to order our food. While waiting for our food (about 30 minutes) the bartenders took 2 shots each by themselves (it wasn’t even 5:00pm and customers were watching). We got our food and it was okay, nothing special. I liked the brussel sprout and balsamic flatbread. When we asked for the check, our waitress stated to us “Shots?”. We asked for the check 2 more times, each time the waitress pressured us to drink alcohol. She proceeded to finally give us the check after giving us an eye roll when we denied drinking any alcohol.
For having a sophisticated menu, ambiance, mocktails, and more upscale drinks on the menu, the service was very unprofessional and rude. It gave off the vibe of a dive bar, when the decor and menu did not suggest this at all. The bartenders/waitresses should think about how they present themselves and represent the establishment. Pressuring customers to drink is never okay.

I brought my niece for her first visit since I’d been talking up your shop. She agreed! I like the atmosphere and the variety of seating choices. Server/bartender was friendly and prompt, and she made an excellent Bloody Mary. And to the cook/chef: our flat breads were delicious! Thank you all!
