A great place to spend the evening.
The food is tasty, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere feels like a true classic American tavern.
I had a draft Double IPA — very good.

Has a good atmosphere, in a great location, with tons of foot traffic! We where there during a Friday Happy Hour timeframe, crowd was good, bar was about half full, staff was friendly, but our bartender spent more time on their phone then on the customers, also they took my card to hold a tab open, but when closing out they didn’t ask me if I wanted to charge it to the card or pay cash. They do have an service charge for credit card payments. Didn’t order any food, but it looked good for typical bar fare.

Came in last night to catch up with friends we hadn’t seen in over four years. The spot itself has a cool vibe, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience.
The bartender was one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. He served me the wrong beer, and when I politely pointed it out, instead of simply correcting it, he insisted that I was wrong. He refused to smell or taste the beer to confirm and became unnecessarily defensive and aggressive about the situation. The whole interaction gave off very weird vibes and was not what you expect from someone behind the bar.
To make it worse, his attitude completely changed once it was time to close out, suddenly acting friendly in hopes of a better tip. I wish I had gotten his name because the experience really ruined the night for our entire group.
This is the first time in my life I’ve ever left a one-star review, and unfortunately this place earned it. Definitely would not recommend. Avoid this spot.

Great place for beers and pub food. It gets packed ! There was a darts league on our night. Also we did trivia on election night! Tons of energy! It’s a fun spot for sure. The grilled cheese and soup combo was a great deal !

I’d honestly used to be the first to recommend 8th st Tavern – I even recommended it for trivia tonight, but the bartenders were so below par it was disgraceful. Didn’t honor happy hour prices and then the OKC hat proceeded to try and belittle me in front of friends and pour 90% cranberry juice for my cranberry vodka. Let me remind you it takes a lot for me to tip 0$ and to leave a review.

Warm beer, warm glasses, warm welcome… if you like everything served at room temperature, this is your spot. I told the bartender the beer was warm, and her fix was to give me “cold” glasses — which were also warm. The one basic thing you expect from a bar is a cold beer. Oh, and the wings? Let’s just say they had a smell that made me lose my appetite. I won’t be back.
