Very amusing experience. You get to cook your own burger or steak here. They provide the beef, the flipper and informative cooking times. This is really fun to do with your kids. This place is busy, you need to make a reservation. Great Martinis and mussels. The wait staff is accommodating and friendly.

Bartender is wonderful, which is why we prefer to sit there during our visits. He is very attentive and always has a really good attitude. Great cuts of meat and sides are delicious. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is you have to cook your own food. After a long day on the mountain, I don’t always have the energy. But sometimes, if you don’t have reservations elsewhere, it’s the only place you can get in. However my steak is always cooked perfectly! We’ve eaten here around 10 times, and food and service are very consistent. The potato ice cream is delicious.

You can never complain about your food because you cook it yourself so I bet the servers love that! The sides were cooked to absolute perfection, the cuts of meat are perfect. The servers are professional and personable. And it’s just cool that they teach you about each cut and how to cook it to perfection. I recommend it 100%

Went here for my birthday as I was craving steak and too my surprise this is a cook your own steak place. While I wasn’t prepared for that, we still had a great time. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a very cozy western style. The service was very friendly and helpful in explaining how everything works. Basically, if you decide to do steak, you go up to the meat counter and pick out your cut of meat. They will then give you cooking instructions, and you take it over to the grill, where they have a multitude of seasonings, rubs, and butter to get your grill on. Dont worry if you forget the instructions they are mounted on the wall. If you follow the times given, your steak will come out the way you want it. While cooking your own steak might not be your style, you won’t find a better price on restaurant steak in town. I definitely recommend giving it a try. Just be prepared to do some work. Additionally, they have other menu items that the kitchen will prepare for you if you dont want to cook your own meal.

We had the privilege of dining at 8th street with our family on our ski trip for spring break and it was a highlight of our trip for sure!! Daisy our waitress was fantastic, she got the saddles for our kids to sit in, she made sure we wanted for nothing and shared stories that we all enjoyed!! The steaks were incredible, the sides were great, the Texas toast was perfect and the cooking recommendations were spot on!! We had two filets and two ribeyes and they were amazing!! We won’t miss the opportunity to dine at 8th street anytime we are in Steamboat, can’t wait to return!!
