Great food at a decent price. 4 kinds of meat with rice and fried egg on top. Roast pig had great crunchy skin, roast pork, roast chicken, and roast duck were all tasty and juicy, and the free soup made this meal very satisfying. The tables were clean. The whole food court was full of happy patrons all eating what they wanted. You have a lot of choices in this food court!

This is probably the busiest restaurant inside Mott street eatery. Has duck and pork hanging in the window. You can walk up and order various dim sum and the meats with rice and vegetables. Tried the roast duck roast pork and scallion chicken. Surprisingly, the pork and duck we’re not very well flavored. However, the scallion chicken was delicious. The counter was quick to order at, and our food came quickly. There’s large tables that are communal/shared inside of the eatery that you can pop down for an finish your meal.

Between my wife and I we had fish congee, fried dough sticks, and the 4 meats with veggies combo and went through all of it. Food was great and can’t find anything to complain about. Prices were very reasonable and portions were good. If we stop in the area (which we definitely will) we’d probably order from them again.

After looking around the eatery and deciding what to eat, we went to the largest stall inside 98 Mott Street Eatery. They had a variety of dishes ranging from dim sum, bbq roast items, congee, rice and noodles. We decided to try their Wonton Noodles and Beef Stew with Wonton Noodles. It was a bit salty and the beef stew had very little if any beef and it was very rubbery. We came right around lunch time so they were rationing their portions… Not worth the cost.

We had great experiences dining at 89 Eatery. Friendly owner, great service, amazing food and generous portion. Went there a few times during my visit to NYC. I even took my family and friends there too! Would definitely love to come back when I’m in NYC. Thank you.

The prawn siu mai with the chilli was so good!!! Best chilli sauce we’ve had in nyc so far. Not too sweet, spicy and with a hint of vinegar. Glad we went there and not the other higher rated dim sum restaurants nearby. The prawn siu mai was $5.50, pork was $4, for four pieces.

Thoroughly avg food that’s precooked, which idem in itself bc plenty of places precook and do it well, but the food had that *precooked taste* and lacked depth in their flavors. Extensive menu and I wanted to like it but there’s way better Chinese food made fresh to order in the neighborhood for similar prices

Preserved egg and pork congee are alright

Seating is in a food court

Good BBQ pork, though it was pretty cold when they gave it to me for some reason.

I hate to give a local spot a poor review, but the quality of the butchered meat was very disappointing. I got duck and roasted pork over rice. The duck wasn’t very juicy, nor was the flavor that great. The roasted pork had a crispy skin, but a lot of the pieces were just chunks of fat.

Do not use the hand sanitizer provided by the food court management!!! It’s cheap and smells suspicious. After I came back and washed my hands with water thoroughly, the nasty smell still lingers. I had read about substandard hand sanitizers that contain carcinogens. I hope this is not one of those. But the quality of the hand sanitizer is really bad.

Food wise, I had porridge from the dim sum stall. It’s so so. You can get better porridge from any canto restaurant on Canal. The dim sum on the steam do not look very fresh, so I didn’t get them.
