The service was phenomenal, but the food was not so great! I don’t think I would eat there again. It was very affordable. We got an oxtail plate & Brown stew chicken but as you seefrom the pictures, it did not look as promised. If you’re thinking about it, give it a try… I like go for Jamaican Hut

I went here from a recommendation and overall was impressed. I ordered the veggie plate, which consists of your choice of 3 sides.

You can smell the rice and peas from the door. I was really excited to try this place. The rice was so good with the brown stew gravy. The cabbage and fresh veggies tasted good too!

Oh my ! The first year I began eating here I could only do take away; now I can Uber as well. Uber gets it to me hot and sometimes early. I am never disappointed by either service. Always fresh, flavorful, great portions and reasonable prices. So no excuse to not eat tasty Jamaican fare. I happily recommend the food here. I haven’t been out to the music nights yet so maybe 2026. Go get you some good food !

We just had our 3rd event cater from here because the food is AMAZING. Our guest had nothing but great things to say about the brown stewed chicken, curry chicken, cabbage, and rice & peas. The food was hot and ready when we picked it up.
The owners are professional, accommodating, and very nice. We definitely will order from them again as well as refer our friends!

We went for the first time yesterday. Food was very good. You have the option of eating in or doing take out. The customer service was great. The oxtails were well done, well seasoned, falling off the bone. Probably the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. I will be back to try some other dishes. Pictured are the large oxtails dinner and large fried chicken dinner.

Update 2/10/24: I have to add that I highly recommend the jerk chicken pasta. Very well-seasoned and full of flavor! If you have a chance to grab the passionfruit drink, just know it is also delicious.

Great Jamaican cuisine and good service. I had the small oxtail with Mac & cheese and cabbage. It was awesome. My only complaint is it is pricey which will keep me from visiting as often as I’d like as it was +$25 with a bottle water and tip. Great food!

Having the downgrade a star after there was change to recipe. This was borderline 5 star brown stew chicken and island cuisine, but they changed their recipe and it tastes almost completely different. Apparently customers like it this new way better, but I find that hard to believe. This place rivaled some of the best island cuisine in South FL, but now is just average.

Very unfortunate, went from going here 2-6 times a month to maybe once every few months now.

A wise man once said: “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

My only hope is that enough people feel the same way and the brown stew recipe can go back to what it originally was.

This is definitely my new go to spot in the Augusta area. The oxtails and rice and peas were so good! The juice they make was so good. On the sweeter side but this was my cheat meal so I deserved it! I will definitely be back to try the curry next. I hope they can build up clientele to put some salt fish on the menu. #salt fish Saturdays lol
