We ordered two buns and coconut snow. The Hokkaido Custard Bun was good. The mango custard bun had no custard and tasted like it had gone off. The coconut snow was fun. I would go again to try other pastries. I would also recommend going in the morning. We went around 6 pm and and there wasn’t much to choose from.

It was a bit dirty. Messy tables which hadn’t been cleared.

I went in to get a tiramisu cake and it looked like somebody didn’t handle it too well. There was even smeared frosting on the box. On top of that the girl who helped me out didn’t even call out my number she just left it sitting there until I came up and asked obviously the cake is still edible but when you pay a little more for aesthetics you’d expect them to be a little more careful.

This place is ok. The product has a great presentation. The location is good. Cleanliness is great, attention is sub par. Workers look tired and unfriendly.

Come here for a nice choice of their drinks layered with excellent soymilk… Good location, service fast and friendly. I don’t think their walnut raisin multigrain breads are fully baked, I would love to have them otherwise…

As you can see from the reviews parking is an issue. And LA parking officers are ruthless; you can be inside car waiting for a spot to open & they’ll still give you a ticket. Anyway, I asked the older couple before me if they were in line twice b/c they seemed undecided & at the front but blocking the queue. They didn’t hear me & were busy talking/looking at wallet, so I went straight for the register waved at the young lady (who was nice & showed great customer service entirely), & she noticed me so I approached. The older lady unaware of her surroundings raised her hand and accidentally hit me. But based on her expressive expression, she probably thought it was the opposite or that I was cutting in line because she & her friend were completely in their zone. At this point I don’t have time to explain & not giving it attention she expects which will cause me more delay. Note: most businesses won’t let you ask for change unless you buy something so that the register opens up. Therefore, I quickly place my order and ask for quarters. My point proven, if I hadn’t hurried back to my car I could have almost gotten a ticket as a Prius ticket officer car was parked right behind me within seconds of me walking down the block to the store get change & to come back. I walked back to the store to check that my order wasn’t there and then finally when I asked the young man for it & he lied & said someone stole it which made it look even worse to lie than to simply say ‘hey we didn’t make it let’s make it for you. I’ve worked at Boba cafes and I’ve ordered many times & they always make customers show a receipt or check the order for that very reason. I’m also guessing that this was the reaction/influence from the previous scenario but if this is a lesson to learn, it’s that this is how misunderstandings happen & even gossip gets created when you miss the context & only see reactions & not the ‘before’. Give people the benefit of the doubt, especially if you didn’t see the whole interaction previously. And apparently it does matter what people think because they won’t make you your order if they perceived you to be in the wrong even though it was clearly a misunderstanding. Also the loudest person/charismatic/extroverted in the room doesn’t mean that they’re correct. Lastly, I never go back to restaurants when that happens & I’ll never ask a worker in general to remake me a drink and risk getting spit in my food because some workers might take it personally. (Note: making it clear that I’m not accusing any of the workers at the bakery did that). I’ve never done it while working with food inc.; my parents taught me better and I believe karma is real so I will never mess with peoples food/work. But I’m also not naïve and I know how peoples behaviors and reactions can be influenced by their own lack of discipline or immaturity. For that reason I don’t bother workers & just let it be.

Love Vietnamese Coffee, and that’s what I got. I wish I had asked for less ice, as it was filled with ice to the rim, and to my taste buds, it was towards being to sweet side. I like to taste less sugar and more coffee.

Great place to stop for a drink or pastry! I tried the marble taro bun, strawberry shortcake, and strawberry de leche drink. All were amazing! The bun was so fresh and soft. The drink was very sweet but I loved the little pieces of fresh strawberry pieces in it.
