This place is amazing. So many options, sweet or savory! The bread is chewy, soft, and the creams and other fillings are perfect. Not too sweet, not too salty. The staff are great and knowledgeable. The cakes are dangerous because they are beautiful and you will find yourself eating more slices than you intended. Nothing in this place tastes artificial.
Its because of that these will not sit for days or weeks on your table. Be ready to eat them within a day or two. Ive never tried freezing them because we dont let them sit. Frankly I am happy that it is not close to where I live because I would be disgusted by my own greed and probably go bankrupt

If you’re looking for a spot that perfectly balances quality and value, 85°C Bakery Cafe is a total win. The sheer variety is the biggest draw—you can pivot from a sweet, pillowy Mango Tale to a savory Spicy Green Onion bread in a single tray, and somehow it all just works. Every item I tried was genuinely delicious, maintaining that signature light, airy texture that makes Asian-style pastries so addictive. Despite the constant rush of customers, the prices remain very decent, and the customer service was impressively efficient and welcoming, ensuring the line moves quickly without feeling impersonal. Honestly, with so many unique flavors I still haven’t tried, I will definitely be going back to fill up another tray very soon

**I really enjoy this bakery. It’s so delicious; sweet and yummy. But yesterday’s experience with the cashier left a sour taste in my mouth. **

First of all, when I got to the counter, the cashier didn’t greet me-AT ALL. He didn’t even acknowledge me. He was busy flirting with his co-worker. Secondly, I had put what I was going to buy in my reusable shopping bag on the counter. I sat my seventeen month old on the counter so I could take the bread out as I was having a hard time. The cashier didn’t offer to help or acknowledge that I was even checking out. So after taking out three pastries I decided to dump the bag and he finally said, “well that works”. I was so disappointed that he couldn’t even muster a hello but could say “that works” when I dumped the pastries on the counter like a four year old. Mind you these are delicate pastries and I hate to have mushed ones when I go home. I didn’t even know if he rang me up because in between doing all this, he kept going back and forth doing something not job related. As he certainly wasn’t doing his job. When I put my card in, I didn’t even notice an amount but that my card was declined because it expired. I hate to be the kind of person that leaves consumer goods just laying around but I just walked out. The customer service was horrible. I was going to ask to speak with a manager but I just wanted to get out of there. Also, I just tried to call the bakery in Federal Way to get the name of the individual who checked me out and no one answered the phone. The worker has a skull tattoo on his left hand. While I understand that you can’t fire someone for a tattoo on their hand, it’s not the best representation of the company AND I don’t want my seventeen month old seeing that either.
I don’t know what kind of customer service training you give but they need some training at this store. It’s basic decency to say “hello” when a customer comes to give you money to keep their business going.
This sour taste has be wondering if I will ever be going to this bakery in the future.

Its nice and quiet, small business but great sweets. You serve your own tray then pay. Hooray

Ordered a strawberry matcha latte, waited 10 minutes and watched the workers walk back and forth without doing any drink making, my order came out wrong with no strawberries. When I walked up to get my drinks and saw it was wrong, the worker told me “no it isn’t, this is what it was rung up as”. Then I waited five more mins for the correct drink. The sanitary practices of this place also seem pretty bad.

85°C Bakery Cafe Review: A Delightful Treat for Any Age

What a wonderful find! As someone who’s been around the block a few times, I can honestly say 85°C Bakery Cafe is one of the most enjoyable bakery experiences I’ve had in quite a while. It reminds me of the bakeries I used to visit in my younger years, but with a modern twist—and a distinctly Asian/Taiwanese flavor that’s simply delightful.

I was impressed right away by the huge selection of pastries. The shelves were full when we arrived in the morning, and it was such a joy to walk along and see all the fresh, beautifully made breads and treats. Everything looked so tempting! And the best part? The pastries aren’t overly sweet—just the right amount of flavor without going overboard. It’s a refreshing change from many bakeries these days.

We picked up a mango cake, and it was light as air—not heavy or overly rich. Just perfect with a cup of tea. Truly a treat. The variety here is also worth noting; there’s something for every taste, whether you prefer sweet, savory, or a little bit of both.

The staff was so kind and attentive, which I always appreciate. They made sure we found what we were looking for and had everything we needed. Service was quick and pleasant—just the way I like it.

The coffee was fine—not the best I’ve had, but it’ll do if you’re having a pastry alongside it. Honestly, the real stars here are the baked goods. If you’re watching calories, maybe don’t look too closely—but trust me, it’s worth it now and then to indulge.

The space is a bit small and not the most comfortable if you’re planning to sit for a while, but if you’re just picking up some goodies to take home or enjoy in the car, it works just fine.

All in all, I highly recommend 85°C Bakery Cafe. It’s a charming spot with excellent baked goods and lovely staff. I think I’ve found my new favorite bakery—and that’s saying something!

We came in the morning so the shelf’s were fairly stocked. The selection is very good so fits many different tastes. We came in to get a mango cake which was airy delicious and just perfect. Highly recommend for baked goods. Coffee is alright, not the best. But baked goods are great. Just don’t count the calories.
Food is great, service is fairly fast, atmosphere could use some work. Fairly small but if your just picking up it doesn’t really matter.

Everything in the bakery is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the red velvet! ❤️ all of the breads and snacks are backed fresh daily and priced reasonably. My only complaint is that they run out of red velvet too quickly, and there’s typically a long line to check out because they only have one cashier. Don’t forget to download their app to get some freebies.
