The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, always making sure everything is perfect with our food and overall experience.
If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re truly missing out on an amazing experience in both flavor and service. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely keep coming back!
I have been dying to eat at this place because people were hyping it up for me. But, now that I have, honestly, the food is not that good. I prefer food on the ship, and this being a military town, y’all know how bad that is. Yeah, I know maybe I expected too much because of the way it was talked about to me, but I didn’t think it would be this bad. I ordered quite a bit so let me try to break it down for the things I personally had. Oh, and honestly the only reason they get two stars is because the service was quick and polite, and the place had an “ok grill/bar” feel to it. But the food…. No.
Birria & Al Pastor tacos- One word, “TRASH”. They were dry, barely above lukewarm, and the broth was severely under seasoned and cold. I literally stop eating it.
Elote- Eh. Honestly, I was confused if this was dry or if it was just harvested too early. It just didn’t have that full authentic taste to it.
Fried Pickles- Probably the best choice I made from this order. Not bad at all but not exactly much to talk about.
Mozzarella Sticks- I’m pretty sure these came from a box or frozen bag. It had that flavor and feel to it. Definitely not fresh. And don’t even get me started on the marinara sauce. A to-go dip sauce. Are you serious?!
Spanish Rice- Also not fresh, and if it is, then think of the taste that school Spanish rice is, and that’s what this tastes like. Not enough flavor, but rice wasn’t over or under cooked.
Black Beans- Mediocre at best. That’s really all I can say about them.
All in all, I wouldn’t eat here again unless they started making things fresh. Honestly, I think it’s just because their menu is way too broad. They don’t know how to cook anything well enough because they try to put something from everywhere. From burgers to wings, and tacos to sushi. Choose “one” cuisine and stick with it. Just do better please.
We shared the bang bang shrimp and it was delicious! The sauce they were tossed in was sweet and tangy and they were so crispy! We devoured them quickly. We shared an entree of the fajitas Al pastor and it was good, super flavorful but not as much food as expected. Also we wish there were more pineapple pieces and less onions, the pork was cut into very small pieces so it was crispy and not very moist. The presentation was pretty but not practical. Too small of an entree to share, don’t recommend doing that.
Overall the food was good but the shrimp was amazing and I recommend that! The kids enjoyed playing pool while we waited.
The food was good. I had ordered the Carne Asada and it was brought out on a bed of onions. I’m allergic and it didn’t state anywhere on there that it came like that. The drinks are pretty good. I collect cups so I bought the drink in a disco ball. My daughter had a burger and she said it was really good. It looked very clean inside. It’s more of a tex-mex place. Our server was pretty awkward. I’d go again though.
Jen was our waitress and she was absolutely fantastic and was efficient and was friendly and got our order correct. The food was amazing. The drinks were great. That was the good part of the experience. Well you would think that would be the experience.
But then as we were waiting to pay and hanging out enjoying the atmosphere, the owner and his friend, we’re getting wasted at the bar and decided to bring their bad energy over towards the table, where me, my wife and my 2 daughters were eating speaking Spanish, and I only speak and understand English, I did not know. What they were saying, but I could tell it was in A Aggressive manner. So I immediately felt on guard, but didn’t let them know, people started grabbing them and taking them out of the bar because the guy seemed to have been approaching me to attack me for absolutely no reason. And this is the owner and his friend. So watch out for those 2 little men. They’re going to end up getting themselves knocked out by the right one. He just did not get close enough today. For that to happen.
