I live in Middlebury and this is the first time I went to this restaurant. Generally, it was very good. Apparently they have expanded the space in recent times and have installed a very large bar with high tops. I had the Jagger pizza with vodka sauce, cherry tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella. It was really quite delicious and I believe it was made in the Napoletana style. Simple fresh ingredients, very thin crust, slightly burnt edges, and a little chewy as it should be. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, albeit a little inexperienced. I will definitely come back and try other menu items.

The pizza at this place is absolutely PHENOMENAL! If you haven’t tried it, now’s the time! We get pizza here once a week and LOVE it! Nice crispy crust and the sauce and ingredients are always so fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and the smell when you open the door is enough to make your mouth water. Try them and you won’t be disappointed!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE- please get the Festive Salad next time you go. It is amazing. I have gotten it in the restaurant, as well as to go and it is ALWAYS fresh- always beautifully presented. Always consistent. The staff here is also wonderful. They are attentive, fast and extremely knowledgeable. The dining room is beautiful as well. Great atmosphere. Great wine, and awesome people 🙂

Went before for the shrimp Mozambique and I asked the owner if the sauce has any alcohol and he said absolutely not. Came back last weekend and I asked the chef again and he said yes it does contain wine . I was so very upset as I don’t consume alcohol in my food. That was not an honest thing from the owner. Not so very cool and will never come back again

8Fifty is under new ownership, and the restaurant now offers much more than pizza. Their wings are cooked in the wood-fired oven and have a great crisp to them, with the sauce turning into a nice glaze from heat. Their Buffalo sauce is on the sweeter side and pairs nicely with the Mac and cheese. The garlic bites are the softest I think I’ve ever had and are dangerously addictive! The margherita pizza and the spinach and artichoke special pizza were both good. Our one critique on the food is that we think the crust or sauce could be a bit more flavorful, but the crust has a great crisp and our pies were charred perfectly. I have seen them come out darker than ours though, so if you don’t like char I definitely recommend asking for a lighter bake. They’ve expanded and have much more seating than they used to, as well as a full bar. In our experience the pizzas do take a while to come out, but the rest of the food came out fairly quickly. We’re looking forward to coming in for brunch on a weekend!

Had a lovely dinner here. My husband and I tried the seasonal cider mule, then ordered some garlic parmesan rolls with marinara. My husband ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and I ordered a fig & brie pizza. They were delicious and we had some leftovers. The fig brie pizza was so good the next morning with an egg on top (pictured)! I didn’t get pictures at the restaurant, but it was clean and had good low lighting, and was not too loud for a busy Friday night.

I love the wood fired pizza from here! The flavor is like no other. Is it the local hardwood, the dough, the oven temperature or the combo of flavors they’ve developed?? Whatever it is, it’s crazy fantastic. Try the specials, they are insane! Did I mention it’s thin and crunchy?
