This is the place to me!! Great music and if you don’t like the ambience or the station, you can ask them to change it.. It’s a restaurant and across from the restaurant it’s like a Bar lounge and it’s superb. My 23rd birthday a few years ago I didn’t even book the reservation correctly so I didn’t have the dinner at the restaurant, but I got a section at the lounge in order some food which was amazing. I believe I ordered the wings. The atmosphere was nice the scenery I believe that was one of my best birthdays.!! Dj was calling me out all night!! But recently, I went there for a dinner at the diner this time and it was so good. I’m not exaggerating like so good like the food taste was so good. The waiter was amazing. I don’t even like to tip lol but he Made me want to tip him. He was amazing.!! I definitely have to come back here and show my family in New York this place it is not that expensive and they give you a lot of food!! they also take pictures of you guys that you can purchase is kind of on their expensive side $25 but they gave you a frame as well so I guess it’s worth it!! drinks was great as well and they cooked our food very fast. We ordered entrées and all that food was based around the same time fresh and great

7th + Grove is an absolute vibe from start to finish. I went for brunch and the menu was stacked — so many great options that choosing just one felt impossible . I ended up getting What’s the 411 and Sunny Daze, and both were hits. The gravy alone deserves its own shoutout because it was sooooo good .
The drinks were on point too — great cocktails and refreshing mimosas that matched the whole brunch energy perfectly . And because my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach, I had to place an order of mac & cheese and greens to go. No regrets there at all.
The lounge side was special — the atmosphere, the music, the whole vibe just felt intentional and elevated ✨. Next time, I’m definitely trying the other side to get the full experience.
The staff treats you like you’ve been coming for years, and the service stays attentive without ever feeling rushed. Every dish comes out seasoned to perfection, beautifully plated, and full of flavor that feels both elevated and comforting.

Wealthy Places
This was my second time to 7th & Grove. We arrived around 5:15ish. Since it was early – there wasn’t a crowd, unlike my first visit. Also, I noticed the menu had changed a little bit from my first visit – no biggie. Mariah was our server, she was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We wanted to start our date night off with some egg rolls – but we were advised they didn’t have any – again – no biggie – I had missed lunch so I was hungry – so I ordered some cornbread and our main course. We both ordered Oxtail with mash potatoes substituted the mash potatoes with grits. The cornbread came quickly and the food shortly after with mash potatoes instead of the requested grits. I kept mine – but my husband wanted what he ordered grits. Mariah fixed it immediately by providing a bowl of grits on the side. While eating I found hair in my food – so I ended up sending my food back anyway. The manager America replaced my food with fresh food. If not for the hiccups I would have given this place 5+ stars.

So good! From the music, the vibes, the customer service, and of course the food. Everything came out so hot and fresh, with some of our favorites being the lamb chops, the honey butter biscuits, mac and a cheese, and collards. I also really liked the fact that everything from the decor to the music and even the menu item names are catered to all things black culture.

We visited Tampa for a day trip. Our friends recommended 7th +Grove. Upon arrival we noticed a wait outside. The staff accommodated our party of 10 within about 10 mins. I was super impressed. We decided to eat on the side that does not have the buffet. The buffet said is upstairs and downstairs and is TURNT! The food was amazing. I opted for the catfish and grits while my BF got the Salmon and grits! It comes with okra and collard greens which we decided against. Let me tell you, I can’t wait to go back. The food was made by somebody ancestors in the bayou! The fish was cooked to perfection. The vibe was good and our waitress was amazing. I will definitely be back when in Tampa.

While the food and music were good, the wait was so long when the restaurant side wasn’t full. There were only 2 waiters, 1 cook and 1 person making the plates. The family meal is a good deal, but they brought okra instead of greens then forgot to bring the greens so we took them home. The greens were excellent, the fried chicken and biscuits were good. They should have a choice for corn bread or biscuits. We wanted to order a pitcher of Kool Aid with our meal, but they didn’t have enough. We didn’t care for the mac and cheese, it had a sweetness and not the usual cheeses. This could be a top tier food experience with better staffing and organization.

First time there and I gotta tell you the food was fabulous. I try grits for the first time. It was so good. I’m already planning my next visit with my adult children next week.
