We were celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday, so we were excited to have a good steak. The hostess seated us promptly and was very nice, even wishing my husband happy birthday. Sadly, there was a loud party in the upstairs room, making it difficult to hear each other talk.
The steak was delicious but over salted. It was disappointing that the service was extremely slow, if not neglectful. We sat for quite a bit. The server did not engage, and we felt that it was a missed opportunity. We were celebrating a birthday. At the end of dining, we were treated like a free cannoli dessert was what we came for…never mind dinner with drinks and paying for bread.
We’ve enjoyed steakhouses all over, (probably spent way too much at some) but this felt somewhat like a pretentious place that couldn’t deliver.

Beautifully restored old home. Nice restaurant but casual attire is acceptable.
Food was delicious and as expected a little pricey. Most entrees are protein only and sides are priced separately. Husband got steak and shrimp skewers with asparagus, I had chicken and spinach fettuccine. Very good but a little heavy on the lemon for my taste. We will go back!

I took our family there last Friday and we had the Manhattan steak, as well as the crab claws and crab cake. The mashed potatoes with a little bit of skin left in for texture was delicious!
Steaks were done to perfection, atmosphere was wonderful and service was first class. Excellent, excellent restaurant – highly recommend it!

Love this place, had the lamb lollipops for appetizer. Short rib and steak and shrimp skewer for entrees. Apple pie and bread pudding for dessert. Beware the pear and diablo margarita for cocktails. Everything was excellent. I’m from New Orleans so picky on my bread pudding but it wasn’t bad. Highly recommend the lamb lollipops, I could have eaten 20. Keith was our server he was awesome. Place has a very old fashion feel.

Our family had a wedding celebration at 740 Front tonight, and I felt compelled to immediately leave a review because of how wonderful our waitress, Courtney, was. Courtney was so friendly and attentive, as well as knowledgeable about the menus. She went above and beyond to make sure our large party had everything we needed throughout the night, was able to speak extremely thoroughly about the food and drinks options, and just truly did all she could to make it a special night. The food and cocktails were also fantastic. Thank you Courtney!!!

A dining experience .Your taste buds will enjoy. The steak and shrimp kebobs were prepared to perfection. Marinate in their homemade teriyaki sauce. Orange roughy was just as amazing. First time experience being charged for a bread service of $ 4.95. MOST HIGH-END RESTAURANTS INCLUDE THAT AS PART OF YOUR MEAL. Knowing that you are going to drop at least a dime plus tip. Finishing the meal with a double chocolate fudge brownie. I was equally impressed with their extremely clean woman’s bathroom. The aroma was fresh and clean. Definitely a five star establishment.

Food: it was bland overall. The salmon wasn’t seasoned, nor were the sides. My husband’s bison filet was too chewy. The deviled eggs were very salty.
Service: not the best. We could have been checked on more.
Atmosphere: a bit loud.

Went here on a Saturday night. Surprisingly disappointed in the service. We didn’t get a server for about 20 minutes and even then we could tell our server, a young man with a bolo tie, wasn’t the most concerned for our experience and made us feel almost like a burden. We waited for 40 minutes for our dinner order to be taken while our server chatted with nearby tables. We asked for more water and didn’t get it until we finished the meal – my date had to drink my water while we waited way too long for a water refill. Cocktails though, came out with exceptional speed. The unwedged salad was the highlight of our night. Granted we didn’t order any steak, the mainstay of the establishment, my manicotti was well overcooked, and the clam chowder should be left for those visiting New England. Speaking of chowder, I ordered for a cup, but was met with a large bowl of it, showing us further the level of attention we were receiving from our server.
I will say the ambience was exceptional, reminiscent of the mining days in which the building was erected. Would return for a drink at the bar.
Overall, for the price, we expected matching quality and service but were left wishing we had stayed and cooked at home.

Walked by this place a million times and finally got to try it! It’s got a unique vibe and design, tons of great food options, and some good choices even for the vegetarians out there! Highly recommend!

Great dining experience. Steak was phenomenal. Old fashion was an intentionally heavy pour and very good. The bar looked to be something out of a movie. We had reservations so no wait.
