Best meal had in a long time in this area. Awesome atmosphere, family friendly, large and comfortable seating in booths. Lots of sports games on. Food was phenomenal- had to leave a review.
Fried fish dinner was crispy and the fish was so tender. Fries were coated and delicious. Tartar was great and the coleslaw was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Seasoned so well and only $16.
Pizza was so good, we got the Buffalo chicken wing pizza. It was thin, crispy, and the toppings were cooked perfectly. 16” pizza for $16? Can’t beat that price, most pizzerias charge at least $20 for that.
Got the spaghetti dinner that came with meatball and garlic, portion was huge. Also got the grilled chicken dinner and it too was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. Everything tasted so good.
It was a super busy night and packed as it was right before a Comets game but we were able to get a big booth. Our waitress was super kind and attentive, but wasn’t annoying and hovered. She was great.

Food was very fast and prices were reasonable. Appetizers were delicious. Stuffed Fried zucchini blossoms and sweet potato fries! We each had a cheddar bacon burger that was pretty good. Their fries were very good! Unfortunately there were things I found really annoying about our experience. The ceiling light was a little bit disorientating at the angle we were sitting. Then when we asked for silverware and napkins, we were given one napkin each !!! But it being so close to the arena it is worth a stop if you don’t want venture far from the game or sports plex! I am not sure if we would dine again.

I have eaten here many times and it’s always been very good. I hadn’t been in a while and was going to a Comets game, we were looking forward to our meal. Menu has totally changed. Six of us ate, I had Chicken Marsala, it was bland with no flavor and no mushrooms. Mushrooms were on the menu and a staple of Marsala?!?! The ribs were tough, the pizza and wings ok. Overall very blah. Waitstaff not great, disappeared for long stretches and didn’t bring all our drinks. Won’t be coming back anytime soon!!! Too bad, was good place.

We were with a party of large group and younger girls had to move to make room and when we were paying they didn’t even get there appetizer they forgot about them when they were sitting right by us and thought they weren’t with our party. A waitress came up to her and said are you with them and the girls said yes but they forgot they were there and didn’t even care. The food was good but this disgust me.

First time there. Really nice on the inside. Appetizer came really quick. Boneless wings were great. The 72 Burger was really good with crispy fries too. Took a bit longer than expected to get the food. Was worth the wait.

I have driven past the “72 Tavern & Grill” many times in my excursions through the city of Utica, but never took time to stop. This evening I was invited to meet some family members there for dinner. I accepted.
Now I can say I regret I did not discover the place sooner. The atmosphere is definitely sports orientated with large screen TVs circling the entire establishment with a huge screen behind the bar.
The staff is ample and efficient, our wait times were very short. The menu is surprisingly diverse, even featuring children’s choices. Four meals were delivered to our table, all nicely prepared with fresh ingredients, and nicely presented. The 72 staff is attentive and quite friendly. And yes, the restaurant is clean!
At the end of the meal, the staff presented us with coupons good for $5 off our next tab. Thank you 72. But it’s safe to say, I’ll be a return customer!

Really enjoyed this place. Roomy, lots of space. Many TVs to watch a variety of sports. Awesome location to hit up before a Utica Comets game. Wait staff was a little slow and didn’t have a very good draft beer selection. The $0.10 wing deal on Monday nights is amazing though.

Wonderful staff, very attentive. I had fried Calamari and Haddock sandwich for lunch. Big portions served hot. I recommend 72 Tavern & Grill to my family and out of town friends.

Some great food and plenty of options here. Portions are fine and most items are easy to share. Some decent vegetarian choices too. The draft beer selection needs to improve but that is about it. The staff has always been great. I would go again.
