Holiday party perfection at 7 Tequilas – Marietta Square

We hosted our KLŌS Fine Pet Salon Christmas party at 7 Tequilas on the Square in Marietta, and it was absolutely S-P-E-C-T—A-C-U-L-A-R from start to finish.

I’m a huge fan of 7 Tequilas and dine regularly at the Holly Springs location, and I’ve also enjoyed meals at Canton, Cumming, and Johns Creek—so I came in with high expectations. Marietta exceeded them. In fact, I’ve already dined at the Marietta Square location four times since they opened with family and friends, and every visit has been consistently excellent.

For our party, we had 14 people, and everything was on point: food, service, and drinks. The appetizers and entrées were amazing, the portions were generous, and every dish was packed with flavor.

A special shoutout to Antonio, the manager—he previously managed the Holly Springs location and now runs Marietta. Antonio and his team took exceptional care of us and truly made it a wonderful Christmas dinner for our team. Attentive, warm, and professional the entire night.

If you’re looking for a spot for a group dinner (or just a great meal), 7 Tequilas Marietta Square is a must. We’ll definitely be back.

All right here’s my honest review of this restaurant. I’ve heard a lot about this restaurant at the other location but had not had a chance to visit. So let’s say my expectations were high. The ambience was nice. The music was good, the photo wall was cute. What particularly drew me was the fact that I saw they make their own corn tortillas and that’s always a plus at a Mexican restaurant. We were sat in the upper level which I didn’t realize the restaurant had an upper level that was nice but not good when it came to efficient service. It was nice to have a restroom on that level though. We placed our orders for our drinks and cheese dip. They bought us the cheese dip and no chips. We sat there waiting. The drinks came and we asked for chips. The cheese dip was also lukewarm. Once the chips actually came we asked that the cheese dip be heated up and it was taken and brought back pretty much of the same temperature that it left the table with but it did seem like there were more jalapeños in the cup so I guess that’s something.

Their service in this restaurant was just simply not great. It wasn’t completely unpleasant but certainly impacted the meal. At one point I was going to ask a question of someone that had dropped something off and they just walked away. This happened twice. Mind you I’m bilingual so I can say it in Spanish or English so that didn’t matter they just walked away without acknowledging me. I was I continued to sit there and just observe the other staff and many of them looked like they were aggravated, mad or upset about something. Even when we walked into the restaurant a lady was walking out with drinks and very rudely said excuse me. We would’ve gladly held the door open for her but she didn’t even give us that chance. That’s not to say you need to have an permagrin but at least know in the service industry a kind look goes a long ways. I found the waitress to be pleasant but not very attentive.

On to the food…
The cheese dip was decent although lukewarm. The first round of chips were on the older side but the second round of chips was fresher. The salsas were pretty good too. I ordered street tacos, my husband ordered Gorditas and my mom ordered chimichanga. The gorditas were tasty. The presentation was more deconstructed as everything was on top instead of inside. It looked nice. The chimichanga was also a healthy portion and tasted good. The tacos we decent but I found the Al pastor to be too salty. The beans were normal and nothing outstanding. Their guacamole was also too salty. Also, it took forever to get refills on drinks. I stopped eating for a bit to wait for her to come back so I could get more.

This is still a fairly new restaurant to the square and I won’t be surprised if it stays. Who doesn’t love tacos and margaritas? Either way, the service aspect seems to be the current downfall. If they tighten that up and put just a little less salt in some of the dishes they will be wonderful.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Everything tastes fresh and flavorful, and what really stood out to me was that they make fresh tortillas—you can really taste the difference. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere had a warm, welcoming vibe that made the experience even better. Definitely one of the best spots for authentic Mexican food in the area. Highly recommend

7 Tequilas has become my favorite Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, and the food is consistently excellent. The customer service is truly impeccable. I accidentally placed a DoorDash order for pickup while at work and couldn’t leave. DoorDash would not cancel it or issue a refund. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, Anthony, to see if there was any possible solution. Without hesitation, he kindly offered to personally deliver my order to me. I was beyond grateful because genuine customer service like that is hard to come by these days. Even when dining in, the service is always stellar and the quality of the food never disappoints. 7 Tequilas has definitely earned a customer for life. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!

The food was delicious! I had the street tacos, chicken and steak. I liked the chicken tacos the best (try them with a squeeze of lime!). What made it even better was our waitress, Carolina. She was friendly, helpful and attentive even though it was busy. Made a great experience even better. Will definitely go back!
