A friend and I had a nice lunch here after craving some tacos. As the name suggests, however, they seem to specialize in seafood. We both tried ceviche tostadas, and they were excellent. It tasted very clean and full of seafood and lime flavor. The tacos we enjoyed were also great and were full of meat while retaining their structural integrity. I’d definitely eat here again, and would certainly recommend it for Mexican seafood.

I heard good things about this place and finally ordered today. Fantastic food! We got delivered and it was pretty fast, good temperature. I called them after eating to tell them THANK YOU for making such good food, I usually do not do that! The mainstays such as beans and rice even transcend the quality of other places. Not sure how they do it, but they do it really well. Good portions, too. I’m quite full and believe me I can really pack it in.

I wanted to see what the hype was about and I was disappointed! Food was cold and look like it was thrown together! Steak tacos were bite sized. The burrito was somewhat ok but not the best! The shake I didn’t like! Wondering how the service would’ve been if I went in person! Wasn’t worth 50 dollars!

7 Mares provides a nice Mexican meal in an unpretentious atmosphere. Dine in or take out. Either way the menu is the same. Chips have a good amount of salt that goes well with the salsa. Waitstaff friendly. Service fine and you can expect to wait a little for freshly prepared meals. On street parking and a ramp for wheelchair access.

The food was decent and so was the service. We were pleased to see ceviche on the menu. But my husband and I both got sick from the food. The tacos I ordered were pretty greasy so I thought maybe it was that. The ceviche was not greasy tho and my husband still had some pretty bad stomach issues the following day.

This is a delightful find. The food was very good, and the seating area, although not new and chic, was very clean.

The best part, however, was the hospitality. Our server made us feel genuinely welcome. When she heard that I was going to keep some leftovers for lunch, she added some extras to make that lunch special.

It was cold outside, but the food, music, and hospitality made us feel like we were somewhere else.

We ordered caldo de camarón, al pastor tacos, steak tacos, and quesabirria tacos. Everything was super flavorful! Salsa’s had the perfect spicy kick. Our order was packed with extra limes, cilantro, onions, and tortillas. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for take out!

Ordered just a Carne Asada burrito to go. Was the smallest burrito I have had in Grand Rapids. Though it was tasty there is no way to justify it value. It was around the size of a large hot dog bun. No burrito, let alone one for $12+, should be smaller in diameter than the salsa cup. I would say it was half the size of what I would get at Dos Amigos, El Cunado, or any of the others in the area.

By far the worst enchiladas I’ve ever had in my life. Ate half of it and puked about 20 times. Pretty sure I got food poison!!!!
