The food was excellent, 3 stars for the absolutely worst pitcher of margarita we have ever had at a mexican restaurant. 100% mix, just pure sugar. Both of us left a half glass on the table, because it was making us sick. Too bad it ruined some really great Mexican food.
Servings are huge. My wife had the Haylie’s Shrimp and I had Chilaquiles Mexicano. Servings are huge, even the plate is large. Very good and flavorful. Service was excellent and a good crowd in there on a Saturday night.

We had a great visit while visiting the area. Is a small space but had a great vibe, super friendly wait staff and friendly patrons. Portions are huge and prices very reasonable. Appreciated lengua on tge menu!

Waitresses were really sweet as was the hostess. HOWEVER, if I paid $15.99 for a margarita and the law says I can take my drink out, I should be able to take it out. I won’t come back.

The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge! It was so good I forgot to take a ‘before’ picture… only an empty plate left. Can’t wait to come back!

What a great restaurant!! Stopped in for some lunch. We were greeted by a very nice server / waitress. Very friendly to everyone. Got our orders quickly. We got some queso and loved the salsa. So good. I got the Big Tacos and the wife got the lunch burrito deluxe. She also got a house frozen margarita which she loved. The beer is ice cold and served in a cold mug. $3.00 for a pint Food came out fairly fast and was hot and very tasty. This is a very nice Mexican restaurant. If your I. The area and wasn’t some good Mexican food, stop here.

Tucked into a charming shopping mall cul-de-sac, 7 Leguas Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem in Lavonia Georgia that delivers both in ambiance and flavor. Despite it being a super bustling Saturday evening, (as to be expected), we were pleasantly surprised that the waitlist wasn’t long at all, and the staff managed the crowd efficiently, making sure that guests were seated quickly without feeling rushed while also managing the long checkout lines.
Our waitress met my mom and me with warmth and hospitality. She was incredibly accommodating—my mom is vegan and wanted to try the Fajita Piña, which typically comes with shrimp and chicken. Without hesitation, our waitress worked to customize the dish for her, making sure she could still enjoy the flavors without any meat products. This level of attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out.
The restaurant itself was spotless, again, despite its bustling activities. The decor had an inviting, authentic feel, making it easy to settle in and enjoy our meal.
Beyond the fantastic service, the food was exceptional. Every dish was packed with bold, fresh flavors, and the portions were generous. You truly get what you pay for! Whether you’re dining with family or out for a casual night with friends, 7 Leguas is a place where you’ll not only get a great meal but also feel genuinely welcomed.
We will definitely be back!

Wow. Was not expecting to have such good Mexican food in Georgia. Food was delicious, and portion sizes were “huge”. I had the Chefs Burrito. The photo I attached does not do it justice. I highly recommend you try this restaurant, as there will be no regrets. This is also coming from someone who eats a lot of mexican food at the border in California, Arizona, and Texas, so trust me, you will love it!

I’m in town for work, and I was looking for a quick bite. Found this place and walked in thinking it was just your neighborhood Mexican joint, but boy was I wrong. Started with a water and some queso. It was solid. It’s almost like it lulled me to sleep, only for the combination 1 plate to shake me awake with quality. My friend got the tacos Campechanos. I took a bite and simply said, “What is this place on?” I was mystified. Great sear on the meat and really well balanced flavor. Thank you for the best thing I’ve had in northeast Georgia. Lavonia Hammond Jones, the wife of the railroad official for which this town was named, would be proud of what this restaurant has to offer.

We stopped in for lunch while we were traveling. They had a nice variety for lunch and full menu. A salsa bar was available. Chips and salsa were brought over when we arrived. Our food came out in 4 minutes. It was flavorful and filling. Two entrees and water came to $20. We were very pleased. Service was fine.

We stopped here during a road trip, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! I ordered the Mojarra 7 Leguas, and wow! The flavors were incredible, the spices were just right, and the portion size was out of this world, easily enough to feed 3–4 people. The atmosphere brought back memories of restaurants in Mexico, authentic and full of character. Our server was warm, welcoming, and courteous, making the experience even better. I highly recommend this spot if you’re anywhere nearby; you won’t be disappointed!
