My friends always go here. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. I got their strawberry sunset , Thai tea, Tea-rex, taro milk tea drinks, and strawberry, pistachio, and salted caramel macarons to try. The strawberry sunset kinda reminded me of a strawberry lemonade with extra fruity passion fruit flaves. The Thai tea was milky, sweet and had a light tea flave. The tea Rex was a mix of their mung bean milk tea and matcha. It was sweet, had good smooth matchay flaves, with an extra earthy, slightly nutty beany flave from the mung bean. The taro milk tea had good nutty, earthy, vanillay taro flaves. Yall know I gotta get me some pastries with my drinks and I got some of their macarons which were actually really good, chewy, lightly crisp, and a bit crumbly. My fave was definitely the salted caramel one which had lots of strong sweet flaves. Overall this place is pretty good.

Tea-Rex $5.75
Strawberry sunset $5.75
Thai tea $5.50
Taro milk tea $5.50
Strawberry macaron $2.75
Pistachio macaron $2.75
Caramel macaron $2.75

I love this place but sometimes I question them. I always ask for easy ice and always end up getting a cup full of ice regardless. If I wanted just ice , I’d ask for that.

I just learned about this place about 3 weeks ago. Since then I have dropped in everyday to try a different drink. It is waaay better than Starbucks. All the girls at the Montebello location are so nice. They get the orders out quick. I probably won’t go to another location after have a horrible experience i had at the covina location. The short Asian looking girl was extremely rude and called me a liar about no aloe being put in my drink. So now I just stick to the Montebello location. The staff in Montebello are Awesome!

The staff at Montebello are amazing. Fast and super friendly. This location is clean. Plenty of parking. It does get busy. House coffee and strawberry hibiscus are two of my favorite drinks!!!

After we pick up dinner at the Golden Skewer we headed 7 Leaves to try out their’s drinks and other items on their menu. We have been very curious about 7 Leaves we have friends tell us their drinks are outrageous with great flavors. Then we went 7 Leaves to try out their drinks to taste the hype about their drinks. We step inside it was really nice then we look at menu display what to order my wife order the Strawberry Hibiscus tea then I order the Matcha soy and also went a waffle with our drinks.

We got our drink then we left headed to our car taste our drink my wife enjoy her Strawberry Hibiscus tea she say it’s refreshing and I try my Matcha soy then I say wow great flavor better than Starbucks and coffee bean. We try the waffle comes with whip cream it was so good we enjoy it. We need to come again to try more flavor drinks.

This business needs to be run better.
If you’ve never tried milk tea, try another place.
Mismanaged.
Food poisoning; edited expiration date to cut corners; don’t take a gamble like I did.

Located at the corner.
Highest drink prices I’ve seen (Summer AC? Manager?)
App rewards becoming less rewarding (Leaflation).
Plenty of parking, even during the holidays.
Nice decorations and design.
Seating quantity is limited.
Seating quality is above average.
The low lounge chairs are comfy.
Irregular WIFI access.
Functional outlet near almost every table.
Okay place to study as long as you don’t need the bathroom.
Tables can be dirty and sticky.
They don’t play Christmas music in November and January!

Cons:
Ice servings are inconsistent; order without ice.
They gave me FOOD POISONING by changing the EXPIRATION DATE; I thought it was an honest worker’s mistake, but when I got home I found out it was my mistake when I was exploding on the toilet all day. Customer service never got back to me…
Irregular WIFI access.
Boba is slightly over cooked, quite mushy.
Honey boba isn’t sweet (at all) like the name suggests.
Sometimes I feel like there are 4-6 workers at any time and wonder how busy it actually is back there for a drink store to consistently neglect the customer tables.
Sometimes there’s hardly anyone here and the customer tables are still dirty; while staff hangs out in the camera room.
A few seats aren’t comfortable.
The business is ALWAYS cold, bring a jacket or sweater.
Hot drinks come with less liquid but have the same price.
This place isn’t optimal for large groups due to seating limitations.
Often too much milk and not enough tea; the milk often overpowers the tea, they need to fix the ratio or be more consistent.
Workers are slacking.
Took over 20min to make my order while no customers were there; staff was hiding in the back.
Bathroom floor could use a clean bucket of water to mop the floor; the perimeter is stained with dirty mop water.
Only one bathroom for customers, the wait can be very long (rare).
The customer area has boring music, the kitchen’s music is sometimes better.

Customer toilet has a bunch of dried splattered fecal and urine stains, no one wants pics of that; I’d give weekend staff a negative tip if I could for experiencing that. If you have thick thighs or extra skin, you may end up touching the grotesque bowl. You aren’t paid to feel comfortable at work, you’re paid to make the customers feel comfortable and enjoy themselves; if you don’t feel comfortable, that’s great, it means you have room to grow. I have no idea why the employees check the bathrooms multiple times an hour, all they did was confirm it’s disgusting and leave, absolutely absurd! If the business cleaned the bathroom, you’re welcome 🙂
Edit: the next day the worker(s) made a desperate attempt to quickly clean it for (upper) management, but the feces was so encrusted into the ceramic that about 30% of it was still there, like a crown with brown jewels. It was so stuck that I wouldn’t be surprised if the toilet was left crusty for over a week. This place is being mismanaged or needs a manager.

They aren’t able to control the sweetness very well; I think it is because the tea batches are pre-sweetened and the only way to dilute the sweetness is to give less tea and use more milk, or the milk is sweetened so they have to give more tea? It could be a consistency issue.

Overall:
Maybe an okay place to try if you’ve never had milk tea.
There are better places in the area if you do like milk tea.
Asaam is probably the best because the flavor of the tea is harder to overpower with milk, but it has been on the weaker side.
Maybe an ok place to hang out if you don’t care for the bathroom or lack of service.
Customer toilet is quite gross, don’t look for details.
Sometimes an okay place to study, as long as you don’t need the bathroom.
Getting your own table can be hard!!!
I wish tables were cleaned more often.
1 of 2 milk tea businesses I know of who use real taro!!!!! (The other place is slightly far, in Alhambra)

Payed 5 bucks for a cup of ice !!!!!! Presentation of location is a modern and clean look. The House coffee special was delicious, but when you’re done with the drink after eight sips it’s not delightful. Macaroons were okay, yet too bland for my taste palette. When I went to the cashier to let them know that in the house coffee that I ordered was too much ice all they said was that’s the orders that they have to make it in that fashion. They did not apologize or offer anything for the cup being more than half full of ice. I will definitely not be coming back. Poor customer service.

First time visiting today and the worker at the front counter was so nice and helpful. I didn’t get their name!

I love that I can get a sample of the drinks. There’s nothing more disappointing (to me) than buying a new drink and not liking it. My husband got the Vietnamese coffee and I got the oolong tea. Both were delicious. We will definitely be back!
