Great coffee!! I got the brunette frozen chiller (a hazelnut and caramel frappe basically) and it was really good! Nice strong coffee flavor! I did add chocolate syrup and whipped cream. (See picture.)

Price was good as my size medium (maybe 20 oz) was only $5.

Only bad thing was, there was a good bit of a line at the drive thru. The service definitely could have been faster, but it wasn’t unbearable and I’d say it was still worth it. One little tip, from a barista to another coffee shop, maybe stop asking for phone numbers before the order is taken, if you can… I feel like it kind of rubs customers the wrong way. But that could just be me!
Communication between workers could stand to improve as well, but I am still giving 5 stars because the coffees are so freaking good!!!

I’ve been a loyal customer of 7 Brew for over a year and have always enjoyed the brand. Unfortunately, my experience at the New Bern location this evening was extremely disappointing.

I arrived around 6:40 PM and waited in the drive-thru for nearly an hour as the line moved very slowly. When I finally approached the ordering area, my vehicle was skipped entirely. The employee taking orders moved on to 10–15 cars behind me and went inside without acknowledging me, despite my attempts to get her attention.

I had to drive to the register area to place my order. The employee there appeared surprised that my order had not been taken and went inside to investigate. I was told that the order taker’s iPad was not working, however, she continued taking orders from vehicles behind me. No apology or explanation was offered.

I was finally able to place my order and receive my drink around 7:38 PM—nearly an hour after arriving. By that point, the experience had become frustrating and discouraging. Many customers in line appeared to be waiting over an hour as well, with no clear communication or option to exit.

In addition to this incident, I have noticed a decline in both customer service and drink consistency over the past year. Ordering the same drink regularly now results in noticeably different quality each time, which was not previously the case.

My family and I travel about 30 minutes to visit this location, and it has always been a special treat for us. As someone with experience in the coffee industry, I understand that busy shifts can be stressful. However, clear communication, accountability, and professionalism are essential in those moments.

Until improvements are made, I will be visiting other locations instead. I hope management reviews this experience and takes steps to improve service, consistency, and customer communication. This location was once my favorite, and I genuinely hope it can return to that standard.

I’m not one to complain, however, tonight I’m making an exception. My wife and I pull into the drive thru and as usual there was a long line. Not a problem because the hot chocolate is worth the wait. Tonight I placed my usual order with a very pleasant young lady. Once we received our order I began to drive away. When I picked up my large cup it felt about 1/2 full. By this time I was over at Hobby Lobby parking lot. My cup was 1/2 froth and 1/2 liquid. My wife ordered a small and it was similar. We pay a premium for a good product and tonight we definitely didn’t get our money’s worth.

This is great place to get a hot or iced coffee, as well as a whole lot of other great drinks! I love the drive up service, the excellent drinks, and the great customer service! And their prices are very competitive compared to coffee competition in the area.

This 7brew is hard to give a review of because we’ve had so many different experiences. Our drinks are always great and I love 7brew in general. The staff are just so hit and miss. Sometimes they’re sweet and sometimes they’re extremely (I mean *extremely*) rude.

The other locations we go to on vacation throughout the year the staff are notoriously over-the-top kind. So that not being the case here is disappointing! Kudos to the few staff members we’ve had great experiences with here!!

I normally enjoy my experience at 7 brew in New Bern, coffee is always excellent and service is always wonderful. However today service as not great from some of the employees. I ordered my drinks, the lady taking my order asked if I would like a coffee if had ordered recently to which I said yes. However, I forgot to change the size from small to medium, which was my fault at the time I did not realize it was going to be small. I then proceeded to order two more drinks, one small hot WC mocha and a large iced latte. I pull up to wait for my drinks and when they come out I see my drink is small “ which I thought it was medium”, my small hot WC mocha is iced, the large latte is correct. I tell the lady handing me the drinks that it was my fault the small iced latte was the wrong size and if I could get it in a medium, and I informed her the small WC mocha was supposed to be hot. She was very sweet and took those two drinks back to be remade. This is where it went downhill. One of male baristas working was yelling about having to remake the drinks saying “ I wish people would just order what they want the first time” and “ if you pay for a small you should get a small and nothing on the house”. To my recollection I never asked for it to be on the house as it was my fault for not clarifying the size. The lady then brings the corrected drinks over to the car. I then thank her again for correcting the order and then I state “ do I need to pay for this medium” as it was my fault it was the wrong size and I had no problem paying again , to which she say no. I tell her well the guy in the back making the drinks seems to think I need to pay the difference. She tells me “yeah I heard him say that also, no you don’t have to, have a wonderful day”. I thank her again and then leave.

I find the behavior of the barista very unprofessional, I understand food service/barista jobs can be stressful as I have worked both in the past. But never once have I talked crap about customers when their drink was not made correctly whether it was my fault for making the wrong drink, or theirs for not ordering the correct thing. Because as humans we are bound to make mistakes, human error is real. I think training should be held for that barista for customer service expectations or if they are going to talk crap about customers, how about don’t yell about it when I’m like 5 feet from you!

To the other workers there today, thank you for being respectful and understanding. As I was taking blame for my mistakes in ordering. I will continue to go to this location as I enjoy their coffee and atmosphere. I just did not appreciate how I was treated today. Hopefully the baristas will gain knowledge of how to treat costumers.

I’m really disappointed writing this because I don’t usually leave reviews, and I genuinely love this location. I come here daily and am very familiar with the baristas and managers. My go-to order is the cookie butter blondie with extra caramel drizzle and cold foam, and unfortunately it’s been made incorrectly twice this week.

Since the management change, the overall experience has gone downhill. Customer service from some of the newer baristas has been poor, and the new manager often seems disengaged—I frequently see him playing around rather than actively helping his team during busy times. On one occasion, a manager even expressed frustration to me about how overwhelmed things were, which was uncomfortable as a customer.

I can’t help but compare this to the previous manager, who was always present and supportive—bringing out cold towels during hot days, coats when it rained, and stepping in to help whenever needed. The difference is noticeable. The baristas now often seem stressed and frustrated, which reflects larger issues with leadership and support.

I will continue coming because of the baristas I genuinely care about, but something needs to change. This store has so much potential, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously

I arrived at the Seven Brew location with approximately 20 minutes available before work. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I was neither acknowledged nor had my order taken. During this time, several employees appeared to be standing around, and one employee was engaged in a casual conversation with a vehicle in front of me, including drinking from that customer’s coffee and handing it back.

Given that multiple employees were present, this experience felt unprofessional and inefficient. I value Seven Brew and expect a reasonable level of customer service, especially when staff availability does not appear to be an issue. I wanted to bring this to your attention in hopes that it can be addressed moving forward.

I go to this 7 Brew nearly daily. The staff is so friendly and personable. They always go the extra mile to help a customer out. I drink an iced Americano with 2-3 cream and sugar-free sweet and salty extra sweet with Chocolate drizzle…it’s delicious…I love you guys…Madelyn, Jazmine, Legend, Vess, Brent, Justin, everyone is literally the best…it’s like going to visit friends. Thank you guys!
