New Year’s Eve dinner here was absolutely next level. Every single thing was on point. I ordered the featured steak and it was cooked perfectly like textbook perfect. The lobster? Hands down some of the best I’ve had anywhere in the Midwest.

The service deserves its own shoutout: the staff was locked in all night, friendly, attentive, and our drinks were never empty for a second. From start to finish, the experience felt special.

10/10 recommend this place. This is how you do New Year’s Eve right. ️

We took six people out for dinner, and our first visit to 6 Mile Chop House & Tavern could not have been better. The food was exceptional from start to finish. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The French Dip, Bolognese, and Shrimp Scampi were also amazing—rich flavors, great portions, and beautifully presented.

A huge part of what made the night special was Joe, our server. He checked on us often, offered great recommendations, and made sure every detail was perfect. His service elevated the entire experience, and we truly appreciated his attention and professionalism.

Fantastic meal, outstanding service, and a great atmosphere. We will absolutely be back! Highly recommend 6 Mile Chop House & Tavern.

Sunday lunch, you can ask for the regular menu along with the brunch menu. Restaurant was not loud and all booths appeared occupied.
Calamari in Kansas is risky. Don’t take that risk here, ours was over cooked and too tough.
We had a steak salad, spinach berry salad adding chicken, and a salmon BLT. We all enjoyed our entrees. Server was good and attentive after a slow start. Refilled water multiple times. I think kitchen was the reason our food was slow to be served. Will try again soon.

Went for a visit on January 2nd, 2026 when I ordered a Heineken. It was only after drinking about half of the beer that I noticed something on the rim (the interior of the restaurant is dimly lit) and low and behold there was rust all around the lip of the bottle. Upon further investigation into the bottle I find a beat by date of NOV-2023! I was served 2+ year old beer! When brought to the attention of the servers they took it off of my bill, but completely ruined my dining experience here. Now, I’m not a comp everything kind of person, but their solution was you don’t have to pay for this beer that could make you sick? Horrible way to handle this, will not be back. If this is how they handle stocking their beer it would beg the question what other stocking practices are they failing? They serve many dishes that if they use these same practices could cause severe illness.

We had a really nice experience this evening! Our server Joe was excellent! Very accommodating & patient. The steaks that were presented were very good! Ceasar salad good, French onion soup…good. I feel that the place is good+. Nice interior, pleasant atmosphere. Will go. Hopefully Joe will be working or someone who serves like him! Good service is so important & often hard to find. It can really make good food be a great experience. Note to the management. Lovely restaurant…horrible bathroom maintenance. Men’s room. The experience should be the same no matter where you are in the establishment.

We went here for Friday night Happy Hour. We sat at the bar and were waited on by Adrian and Sarah, we received excellent service. I asked for a vodka drink and Adrian made a tasty cocktail with vodka, blackberry, and basil after that I had a Rosemary Spritz. It was super delicious with homemade rosemary infused vodka and simple syrup. You should definitely give it a try!! We tried a couple of the appetizers, they were flavorful and the portions were generous. There is plenty of seating in the main room for dining, at the bar or in the lounging area. I think there is additional seating further in the back. It’s a lovely place for happy hour or dinner.

We were expecting a better experience for our first visit here, but were a little disappointed. The atmosphere was very loud to the point where we could not hear each other very well; it felt like we should have been in the tavern next door partying it up. If you like yelling across the table to have a conversation then this is the place for you! You will certainly feel overdressed if you wear business casual or anything above that. The food is upscale, but based on all the other customers the dress code appears to be casual. T-shirt and jeans with tennis shoes? You’re good! It was busy, but certainly not packed. Service was mediocre; drinks came late, had to ask for refills on water, and even had to wait a bit to get steak knives after our main course arrived. Maybe it was planned so we could admire our food sitting in front of us for about 5-7 minutes. I would think that at a “chop house” those would either be on the plate with the steak, or with the rest of the standatd utensils already on the table. Food was ok. My steak was overcooked. After our entrees arrived the check came shortly after, and i do mean short. There was no asking if we wanted anything else. The atmosphere and the service lowered our expectations of 6 Mile Chop House for the evening. Again, we were hoping for a better dining experience based on the reviews, but I don’t think we will return anytime soon or if at all.

We were in from out of town and wanted a casual place to grab a bite later in the evening. We got there in time before the kitchen closed at 10. We had the Spinach Artichoke dip, Shrimp Scampi and the country fried steak. Everything was great! Maggie behind the bar was fantastic! Great personality, wonderful service and incredibly knowledgeable about their beers.

I’ve been frequenting Six Mile for the better part of 6 months now. Their wing night is a legit steal; quality wings for 60 cents a wing. Great place to watch pro and college sports; and a very friendly staff. When things get packed, the staff always communicates that there may be a wait time and never keeps me in the dark. The food is consistent, from the nachos to the steaks. The drinks have gotten better since I started going. Whatever they’re paying their bartenders, it’s not enough. Easily my favorite spot in town.
