Born and raised in South Philadelphia, cheesesteaks are a big part of our lives. Our family owned a few restaurants in the city, including one on 5th & and South, which is a very popular strip packed with different cultures of food and shops. Growing up, we learned so much about the craft and culture of authentic food from those experiences. We are excited to bring our South Philly roots & extensive experience in the steak business to you in Maryland!

I went to the College Park Location 3 weeks ago after seeing a FB video of the food at the Catonsville Location. I checked the hours on Google and saw they had a College Park Location now, about 45 minutes closer to me. It was Sunday night and it indicated it was closed Monday and Tuesday. It would be open Wed morning at 11am. My brother and I were there at 1130am and waited about 45 minutes but no one showed up to open. I went back on Thursday around 2pm and it was still closed.
I messaged the phone number listed on Google and it took a minute but I got a very apologetic response from the owner explaining they were preparing to open for business on March 5th for the first time and had not made it clear on Social Media. He invited me to come try the food today and WOW!!!
Run don’t walk for the best cheesesteak around. Lots of options, fresh ingredients and great seeded sub rolls. You’ll think you are in Philadelphia Cheesesteak Heaven. Crispy Fries. Sliced cherry peppers. Pleasant Staff. OLD SCHOOL in the best way!!! Thank you 5th & Steaks!

The food is incredible and the staff is very friendly. They took about 15 minutes to set up after opening but everything was fast after that. Only real problem is the price. $20 for a cheesesteak is a bit much.

I recently visited this location and had the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. The steak was incredibly tender, and the bread was perfectly toasted, not soggy at all. I’ll definitely be coming back.
