Great small town feeding hole. I finally had a chance to try the 5th Avenue burger. It’s very good, big and juicy with a not-too-sweet barbecue sauce on it. FYI no way you’ll eat this burger unscathed, plan on sticky hands and unless you’re exceptional lucky a sticky face. 100% I’ll be back, I hear the pizza burger is a must.

The food is good but the staff is extremely unfriendly and not personable, and the restaurant is a dump. If you weren’t from the area you would have no idea to seat yourself, and it takes 10 minutes just to get a waitress to come to your table, even though the place is always empty and they just stand around gossiping with eachother. When you do finally get a waitress they take your drink order before giving you a menu or offering their selection. And once you do get your food they never check back up on you, bring you your ticket, or let you know you have to go to the counter to check out. The few times we ordered food to go they messed up every single order. And although the food is decent, it’s over priced for fried/bar style food. I truly believe the only reason they are still in business is because it’s a small town and the only alternatives are subway or caseys pizza. Plus it’s a regular hang out for the retired to drink coffee. If the owner were smart they would sink a bit of money into it with a fresh coat of paint and some new tables, or at a minimum hire some friendly staff that don’t complain about how much they hate their jobs.

DO NOT WATSE YOUR TIME. Such a disappointment on a hot 85• sunny Friday afternoon. My mom and I were traveling cross county when we pulled off to stop and great some ice cream. We walked in the door a little after 2pm and they said we could not be served because they were closed and counting the till. First of all who turns down business? Second of all who closes when it’s 85• and sunny? Here’s the answer- them. Good luck to anyone who thinks McDonald’s is not a better option. Don’t pull off the road and waste your time.

Waitress didn’t really talk to us, just expected us to give our order and read her mind. We were the only ones in the place eating breakfast, and eggs and French toast took over 20 minutes to get to our table. The place seems old, but not very clean.
