Just found this food truck, Leo and Rafa were pleasant dudes, they were sold out of a few things as it was 30 min before closing time. Plan to go back to try more items again next time. Chicken and Beef empanadas were flaky, fresh and well seasoned in my opinion with the sauce that complimented them. Do recommemd a stop here if you want a quick snack or a meal.

A Venezuelan gem on wheels! Everything from this food truck is amazing, but the empanadas and tequeños are hands down the best in Des Moines. Authentic flavor, great service, and top-notch quality. Highly recommended!

Best empanadas and tequeños in the Midwest! After driving through the Midwest and trying different Venezuelan foods, this has been my favorite empanadas. If you think you’ve had a good empanada before, do your self a favor and run here!

Everything was excellent. Our favorites were the Pabellón arepas, chicken empanadas, and the tequeños. Also, I highly recommend the Papelón con Limón – very tasty and refreshing. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Thank you!

Mainstay traditional, authentic Venezuelan food-corn dough arepas with fillings that include the famous pabellón criollo, an avocado chicken salad, black beans with Venezuelan cheese. Another must try Venezuelan street food is the empanada. We liked the beef the best. Didn’t get to try the savory cheese/corn pancake, cachapa. There’s also the typical Venezuelan juice blends to try. The cheese bread sticks, tequeños, were out the day we tried.
This is a food truck with one picnic table. It’s not “fast food.” Service is friendly, but fresh and hot preparation takes time. Be ready for this when you visit. The food is packaged to stay warm, so you can take it home or to the brewery to enjoy.

I recently discovered my favorite spot for arepas and tequeños, and I couldn’t be happier. Tequeños hold a special place in my heart—I fell in love with them back in college, and it’s been a journey to find a place that makes them just as good again. Well, I finally did! What makes the experience even better is the service. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the owner truly cares about his customers. I’ve been here twice now, and each time has been just as great as the first. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
