At 56 Thai Cafe, our name tells our story. “56” comes from California State Route 56, right by our cozy Torrey Highlands spot — a place for neighbors, friends, and travelers to feel at home. “Thai” honors our roots, serving authentic recipes passed down through generations. But we’re more than just Thai food — we craft boba drinks with care, create fun desserts, and offer daily chef specials. We call ourselves a “Cafe” because we value comfort, warmth, and connection. Every dish is made in small batches, with love — because here, you’re part of our table.

Overall great place. The food was great, the service was great and the atmosphere. Just know it’s not a big restaurant so can’t do large group or teams gathering but the service is top notch.
Chef’s special – Kai Soi is delicious will definitely come back. They have large selection of drinks as well.

The Khao Soi is excellent. The Somtam is amazing. I thought I was eating it in Thailand. The food is worth the price. Come and try it. You’ll be hooked. ☺️

The food here is really good. We ordered drunken noodles, crab fried rice, and Hawaiian fried rice as our meal. They are all delicious. I recommended their tofu tod as entry and sweet rice mango as dessert as well. Will come next time for sure~

My wife and I had lunch here at Thai 56 Cafe 12/18/25. We both ordered the khao soi. My wife, chicken breast and myself tempura shrimp. Both had such great depth of flavors! What this restaurant does that the other restaurants don’t do is have a small plate of the add on condiments on the side so you can add what you like. But the contrasting texture of crispy noodles and al dente soft noodles was great. Can’t get over the flavor of the soup base! We will be back.

Ordered the SEE U NOODLES and green curry. Curry was a little spicy but tasted good. Lemon Grass tea was refreshing!

The food was really awesome! Not only that, the service was awesome, the food came in about 10ish minutes after we arrived. The place also has a very clean, homey feel. We ordered the Drunken Noodles, and the Thai Fried Rice, and I would 100% recommend!

Food was all delicious. Had the tom yum, drunken noodle, larb gai, khao soi. All the dishes had a lot of protein, which is appreciated. I will be coming back.

SOOOOOO delicious!!! Must dine in here, the quality of the food is just so flavorful and rich! It’s not too expensive, about 10-20 per person, and the staff is also VERY kind and the food comes in quickly! A lot of vegetarian, vegan, etc options! DEFINITELY recommend!

The food is really tasty and the employees are super nice. I get the mango galaxy and drunken noodles at least once a week. Highly recommend.
