What can I tell you about the food that I ate other than it was worth the wait. I was waiting for a bit but I am a patient person. I understand that customers are being attended to. It’s not that loud and I saw a lot of happy customers. The menu isn’t complex, you can see the name and description well. Overall I had a wonderful experience and I would come back. Payment will be cash or credit card. When I paid the waiter gave me this little device and I paid it from there. I was able to pay before I finished my food which is my personal preference.

This was right next to my hotel, so it made it easy to walk over. They were open later, and as I walked in, there was good music playing, and people laughing and enjoying their time. It definitely has a sports bar vibe with a lot of eccentric decor on the wall. It definitely reminds you of an Applebee’s feel, more of a local dining experience. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and options and reviewed all the specials and drink selections with me. She had a few recommendations, and I followed her recommendations, she was polite and a great server. The bathrooms were clean and presentable. However, there was a line as it was a small bathroom for a larger restaurant, especially since the staff had to use it also. I ordered the steak and ribs, and both were cooked to perfection. The steak was juicy, and the ribs fell right off the bone. I ordered it with their waffle fries and Gringo queso, which the fries were crisp and perfect. The service was excellent, and it seemed like everyone who was in this atmosphere was having a great time. Definitely a little bit louder than most restaurants, but there were a lot of people in it. I would definitely come back here again. If you are in the San Antonio area I would recommend people to come here to try it. There are so many different menu choices that everyone could find something they could eat.

Awesome american style resturant. Good burgers, salty cheese sticks, and sweet tea to get your blood as thick as molasses. Make sure you go during HAPPY HOUR in order to maximize your variety and drink menu. I recommend the mac and cheese and all the dips. They advertise a smash burger but it aint really a smash burger lol. Still love this place, highly recommend

Fried pickles are excellent (they use cornmeal).

I was in San Antonio for the night and did not regret stopping here for dinner. I was able to watch the NFL game, MLB playoff game, AND an NBA preseason game. My server, Sierra, was awesome! I ordered different drinks throughout the night and she made all of them to perfection. She was also very kind and created a warm/friendly environment for the bar area. The food was great, too! I’ll be sure to come back the next time I’m in the San Antonio area.

Me and my son stopped into 54th Street because we were craving burgers, and they did not disappoint! We both ordered burgers and fries! Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. I added bacon to mine, and it was just right.
The atmosphere has that classic sports bar feel, with TVs all around the restaurant, plus a bar area and dining area all connected. Service was quick, our waiter was friendly (wish I remembered his name), and we were in and out without a long wait.
Although this visit was just a quick burger stop, I’ve had other items from their full menu before and it’s always been good. Definitely recommend 54th Street if you’re looking for a spot with great food, fast service, and plenty of screens to catch the game.

I can’t speak for any dishes on the menu aside from the Chicken Madeira and Strawberry Cheesecake. The cheesecake always hits. The Madeira seems to be saltier every time. I’ve exclusively ordered curbside or via DoorDash, so I can’t speak much for the atmosphere, but it seems lively, similar to BJ’s Brewhouse from the outside. There’s always loads of people, regardless of the location I pickup from. The service has always been fast and the people that drop off my order are always pleasant. I’ll have to consider other entrees for the future.

Fantastic experience at 54th Street Scratch Grill & Bar! As a vegetarian, I loved how flexible the menu was—I ordered the Spinach Chicken Alfredo, had them remove the chicken and add the grilled veggie medley, and they plated it all together perfectly. The sauce was rich and creamy, veggies were charred and flavorful, and portions were generous. Service was friendly, fast, and super accommodating, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Highly recommend for tasty, customizable dishes and great vibes!

It was date night for my husband and I. Upon arrival we immediately sat down-Service was good, attentive bartender since we sat at the bar. Drinks were great and atmosphere had a good vibe. The food was GREAT ! The only issue was we were served our food by the kitchen staff servers and they did not offer cutlery but neither did the bartender. Nonetheless it was a successful and enjoyable date night ! Im sure we will return!

Chicken fried chicken lunch plate with mashed potatoes, gravy and their wonderful grilled dressed brussel sprouts was yummy. The chicken was fresh and hot off the grill, but the sides not so much. While the flavor was great they were just less than lukewarm and I like my food hot. That was easily fixed by the microwave.
