Nested in the heart of classic vista you will find this fantastic family owned place! What a gem of a find! Tried it for the 1st time for one of our date nights! They have sesting outside with heated patio lamps or smaller indoor seating options. We were greeted right away by the welcoming host and sat inside. Huge plus were able to e
Watch the football game. They have a nice beer & drinks selection Menu as well. Had two rounds of Buenavesas , poke appetizer, and various sliders. I was happy to know that they were able to make my sliders without the brioche but wrapped in lettuce due to my gluten sensitivity. My husband loved them as they are! The food was fresh, and delicious. We also had parmassean garlic fries and the poke appetizer with chips! We will be back to try more items on their menu.

The wings and calamari are Fire ! And I am a hard critic. This place unfortunately is nowhere near my home, but I am anxious to make the drive back to get some more. Absolutely loved it. Cooked to perfection. The ladies working were beyond friendly and polite in a very appropriate manner. Not a huge fan of the venue all together, but they have done good with what they have. I like the outdoor patio and the heat lamps! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

Neat little place in Vista that serves draft beer, wine and delicious food! Loved the stout on tap, as well as ahi poke – lots of fresh tuna with a bit of a kick. Tater tots and calamari were outstanding too. Out of four different slides the chicken and blue cheese ones were the best. Korean BBQ taco had a juicy, charred and well marinated meat. It is also kid and pet friendly with a nice heated patio!!

After the movies last night we wanted to go out in Vista for dinner and drinks. In a Google search we found 508 Tavern and we are glad we did. The food was excellent, the staff is wonderful and the they have a good drink selection. We intend to bring back our friends. Thank you Alyssa and Shelley for a fun evening.

Went for a friend’s retirement party outside in the back. Had Bites for food and it was really good. The wings were fabulous. The chicken tacos were a little on the salty side. The tater tots and waffle wedges were also really good. The Beef tacos were really good as well. THE BEEF SLIDERS WERE AMAZING!! Hummus was really good as well. I had the Bario Logan beer that was nice a cold. Thank you we had a very nice time.

My friends would rave about 508 Tavern and it’s long been on my list to try out. The main reason we didn’t try earlier is because they don’t have A/C and it was a bit on the smaller side. If you don’t find a seat inside, you’re relegated to sit on the patio which I think used to be their parking lot. Parking is on the street, so you may have to walk a bit.

Being November, we opted to try Taco Tuesday. Most of the tacos are around the $2-3 mark and the reviews were all positive.

We came and ordered all the tacos, each of us got three different one. We also got some beer, wine and a milk shake.

The tacos were just “ok” to me, really not that special. They are street taco sized, and we’ve had much better versions at other places and food trucks. The venue is very small, but there are two TV’s inside and the chairs are padded (but the bench inside is not). They have about 10 beers on draft along with a draft cider and kombucha. (FYI – the blonde is very light & tasty, would recommend).

Service was good, even though they were quite busy around 5:30pm. There is no happy hour, only daily specials (i.e. Taco Tuesday, Wing Wednesday, Thirsty Thurs, Slider Saturday, etc.) and beer prices are around $8 for a pint.

I would be willing to try the wings & sliders, but for tacos I’d think we would pass on trying them again.

Love this place! Food is great, sliders and tacos and tots and fries…oh my! Mix and match sliders on Saturday lets you try them all…then comes the hard part, picking a favorite. Same kind of deal with the tacos…hard to choose. Staff is always super friendly too. Oh I almost forgot…ice cold beer!
