A pleasant surprise find that we look forward to trying again on another trip through. The table had “brisket” written in broad letters across it, but sadly no brisket on the menu What they did have was friendly service, reasonable prices, and tasty food.

I have many followers on here and have been reviewing restaurants for a while now so here you go…..my first 5 star review in every category! How anyone can give this place less than 5 stars is beyond me. I have never had a bad meal from here and the owners are great. You smell BBQ as soon as you step out of the car and it’s amazing. The atmosphere is casual and so fun. Cornhole outside with a area if you want to have a graduation or birthday party! Inside is decorated so cute and it makes you feel like your at home. Anything on the menu is great. My husband got an Electric Burger with fries and said it’s the best burger you can get around here. I got the ribeye, mashed potatoes and collard greens. Someone said his was “thin,” mine was too but seasoned perfectly and a big steak so I didn’t care. My friend went with us she’s from Pennsylvania and she got the ribeye, mashed potatoes and green beans. She told the waitress it was the best thing she has ate since she left there. We drive an hour to get to this restaurant and will continue to do this a couple times a month. The owners really care about the restaurant, customers and the quality of the food. So 2 ribeye meals, and a double cheeseburger and friend with 3 cokes and you would never believer it was $50.
Support this family owned business, there isn’t many of them left. I’m in shock over anyone leaving bad reviews. I went May 24th so maybe they were having a bad day!!! Great job though 501 Roadhouse!!

It was a like a little piece of Texas. Food was excellent, service was great. Sad to see she’s not going to renew her liquor license. What BV has done to this place is extremely sad!

I’m a big wing guy, and their smoked wings were some of the best I’ve ever had. Crispy skin but incredibly juicy meat, with incredible portions. Sides were all very solid, and the service was fantastic. Everything came out piping hot and tasted great

I stopped in and tried the roadhouse Ribeye with Hush Puppies and Mac and cheese. It was a decent meal. I was surprised that the ribeye was paper thin but thankfully the cook knew that and cooked me 2. The hush puppies were perfectly cooked and delicious. The Mac and cheese was overcooked though and the cheese hard and mostly cold. I could definitely tell it wasn’t fresh it was reheated. The restaurant feels a little cramped cluttered. The waitress was very friendly and helpful but unfortunately forgot to bring the sauce I requested until my last bite of steak. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but might stop in again if I was passing through.

I really don’t want to give them a low rating because the staff is genuinely so kind. Unfortunately, the food has been consistently disappointing. The flavors just aren’t there, and the steaks aren’t cooked at a high enough heat to bring out the best in them. We’ve visited twice, hoping the second experience would be better, but it was actually worse.
The first time, my husband and I shared the crab, shrimp, and ribeye special—it was mediocre at best, with the biggest issue being the lack of flavor. On our second visit, I tried the Sunday buffet while my husband ordered the American Cheeseburger, and once again, both meals were bland and underwhelming.
The service is wonderful, but the kitchen really needs to elevate the seasoning and preparation to match the hospitality.

The place seems ok. Service on Sunday was very slow. 40 minutes for our food to come out cold. Waitresses that were more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. Money badly spent time wasted
