5 Napkin Burger on 9th Avenue is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for a high-quality burger and great cocktails in NYC. The burger was incredibly juicy, cooked exactly as requested, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the meat, and the bun was fresh and held everything together perfectly without falling apart.
The cocktails were excellent and honestly exceeded expectations. Well balanced, flavorful, and clearly made by bartenders who know what they’re doing. It’s not just a burger place with drinks, it’s a place where you can actually enjoy a proper cocktail with your meal.
The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, fitting perfectly into the Hell’s Kitchen vibe. It’s a great place to stop before or after a show, or just to enjoy a relaxed dinner with friends. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional, even though the place was busy.

The queso fundido burger is the most unique way I’ve eaten a burger – on a bed of melted cheese! Patty is well done. Yums. Appetizers such as tower of onions and cauliflower in spicy buffalo sauce is amazing too! Thanks Jerry for the great service as well.

Stopped here after a show (with a res) and we’re not disappointed. Best burger I’ve ever had. Yes, our bill was pretty high for a burger meal AND delicious drinks, but you can easily stay in budget if needed. Highly recommend!

The place is nice and easy to get to. I asked the waiter which burger was their favorite, and he recommended the avocado burger, but I didn’t like it. The atmosphere is nice, but the waiter who served me was a bit odd. I’m giving five stars, but unfortunately I didn’t really get the value for the tip I left.

From the warm smile and greeting we got at the door to our table… Five Napkin Burger All American Restaurant in Hells Kitchen was gorgeous and had a beautiful even ambiance with candle lit dinners and drink specials with Happy Hour Nachos that were sooo yummy with parm cheese and cheese sauce with onions, scallions and a side of Guacamole.
Our server his name was Rolduń and he was so pleasant and informative, asking if we had a Broadway show to get to making sure to manage time expectations of the meal.
They give you a bowl of pickle slices with were delicious and he brought water automatically with second hand service for everything, anticipating all of our needs! There was a table of ESU officers that my date paid their tab , it was beautiful to see , their jobs are a wild one and their service to the city should be appreciated and first responders. The officers were friendly before hand. And showed much gratitude and were so friendly and down to earth to all they do. The server was great with handling that and making sure both parties meals weren’t interrupted and letting them know at the end.
Our server went above and beyond the entire meal, my date got the classic burger and me the American Melt… American , Garlic Aoili, medium burger on Texas Toast and I got à la carte the Brusselsprouts side with was absolutely delicious and so amazing with a light chargrilled crisp to them. Me and my date got lost in the ambiance and was there for 3.5 hours just enjoying each other an there was no pressure to leave or to turn the table over or rush us. I’ve worked in hospitality most of my life, both of us so this meant the world. We boxed the rest and left.
For being my first time to NYC and a nice dinner out. The prices were affordable and delicious with employees and a team that truly made my evening that much more special. This was a personal visit however I am a travel agent and I will definitely be back and refer this place to all my clients and friends in the future for when they book travel to come visit!!!

We came here after some research (Google, Reddit) on NYC best burgers for our recent visit and we were not disappointed. The burgers were delicious and large, the fries spot-on, the service great (Anna), and the atmosphere was vibrant but not chaotic or noisy. The place was basically packed (it was Black Friday) but the service was fast and friendly and the orders were served correctly, (including to the right person without asking who ordered what). Solid choice in NYC. It was the only burger place we visited, so for us it was the best!
