We stopped into 5 Loaves inside the bowling alley in McPherson after a friend recommended it — honestly, we never even knew it existed! I’m glad we checked it out. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in.
The menu is surprisingly large with lots of home-cooked style options, and our food came out quickly. The portions were generous and the flavors were fantastic. Definitely a hidden gem we wouldn’t have found on our own. We’ll be back!

Very Friendly and Fast Service. Fried Mushrooms were Outstanding! The Best tasting I’ve had in a long time. Chicken Fried Chicken and the Chicken Fried Steak were Delicious. The Breading and Batter were a Perfect combination on The Mushrooms, Chicken and Steak. So Good!!

From the time we walked in the door, the service and personality were amazing! Martha was very personable and made excellent recommendations. Upon receiving our food, we were pleasantly surprised from the homemade onion rings to the chicken fried steak and the ribeye steak. Kudos to the chef for the perfectly cooked food. While we live 45 minutes away, we will be making the trip to enjoy more of this hidden gem! Thank you again to Martha for making us feel right at home!!!

Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and a lot of it. Was listening to others around us talking about their food about how much & good it was. I came from Hayesville and plan on just making a special trip just for the food here again. If you can you got to go here and try it yourself you won’t be disappointed. They had a tv to entertain young ones while waiting for their food.

My daughter and I had a very disappointing experience. We were seated and waited 45 minutes without ever receiving our food. During that time, we watched at least 13 other tables who were also still waiting with no meals.
There was little to no communication from staff about the delay, no timeline given, and no effort to check in or offer updates. After waiting that long with no food and no explanation, we finally had to leave.
I understand that restaurants can get busy, but basic communication and time management go a long way. Unfortunately, this was a frustrating experience and not one I can recommend.

It’s an awesome place to eat while bowling.
The menu is massive and has a great selection to try different things everytime.
I definitely recommend the chicken fried steak over their chicken though.

The food was very good. I forgot to tell them to put the gravy on the side for my chicken fried chicken. I scraped it off but it was still on it. Most places ask about the gravy.
My husband and I both got corn. The corn must have been cooking all day because it was turning brown on the edges. It was still edible.
I ordered a baked potato and it was cook perfectly.
My husband got pork chops. When you first took a bite the seasonings were spot on, but as you chewed it was very dry.
My husband still enjoyed them.
My hubby got potatoes salad as a size and it was a large portion.
Every dinner comes with a side salad. It was decent sized and the taste was great! There were no croutons and I love the croutons. It was not anything that didn’t shade me from eating that health salad – it was delicious

My husband and I heard about yall so we decided to do a take out order. Let me tell ya, we live 15 miles from 5 Loaves and when we got the food home it was still hot! We ordered the 14oz ribeye and Catfish dinner. Both were GREAT! Cooked to his liking and that is a biggggg deal with his steak! The catfish was bread evenly and not too much. The catfish was a THICK filet! The green beans taste just like my Grands! Well done on those! The baked potato was tender and came with sides! All I can say is this….If you want a good home cooked meal for reasonable amount of money then 5 Loaves should be your new dinner place! Can’t wait to try the breakfast menu…. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! Oh and the lady who took my order was truly nice, patient and repeated the order. NO mistakes made. Yall rock!

Great hole in the wall restaurant. It was recommended to my dad by the local firefighters. We both had a breakfast. The eggs and pancakes were very good. Our waitress was excellent.
