Food is well seasoned. If you’re in the mood for real food this is the spot out here. Authentic African eating experience & great tasting food. Not a fast food joint.

Dang…you better order the day before and you’ll still have to wait. I placed a simple order…ok 25min. 30min later, I showed up late and my order still wasn’t ready!! Apparently, they just started my spring rolls… asking me to wait 5 minutes??? I ended up waiting 10minutes-Daheck?? This food better be good! (NO it’s not! This curry chicken is mediocre as heck. I prepare better myself. $13.50 for “stew” with no rice, no cutlery, didnt include my sauce for the spring rolls?? You see what I got for $19. Anemic! The experience sucked.) I set my standards low when mi a deal wit dem, and mi still have disappointments! If you don’t go there, you won’t be disappointed!
ADDENDUM! All that oily spice with no rice or bread got me posted up on the commode when i should be working! It’s as hot going out as it was going in!

I love this waakye so much. I grew up in true Bronx and it is so hard to find good Ghanaian food and this is sooooo good. I need to try the other food and compare it but I’m bringing all my friends here. I would take a picture of my food but it looks greedy because I boiled three eggs to eat with my food.

Having lived in Ghana before, I can tell you this is a real treat. The food was tasty, the staff friendly and there was an atmosphere that reminded me of Ghana in the best way. I am glad I tried this place out. The kelewele (plantain dish) was very enjoyable, and my fufu was good with a delicious pepper soup and even the pieces of goat meat made me remember the chop bars of Ghana. Oh, you have to try to the sobolo as well. You won’t regret it.

This is some good fresh fresh good good good food. I’m a truck driver from Mississippi. When I bring a load this way, I eat African food. Yall, take my word for it, Mama back there getting down in that kitchen. The peanut Butter stew was delicious. The spinach stew is marvelous. The fried fish is good good good. The guy made me pounded yam and eba. He said that he’d make it for me and he did. This restaurant is not old food warmed up. This is made to order. Lord, Im bout to take a nap and go at it again. Good good good food!!! And excellent customer service.

This was literally my plate and that’s after scooping out the food from the box they packed it in soaked with oil. The plantains were worse and the goat meat, 3 small dry pieces u can’t bite into. So disappointed.

I highly do not recommend for any reason. Horrible food-flavor and presentation, horrible ambiance, highly priced. My daughter and I went and were charged almost $80 for 2 meals, without tip because they charge if you dine in. Obviously not a 5 star restaurant. I’d be concerned about the hygiene. Ended up tossing the food in the garbage.
