Quick stop in after a long night of drinking. Their options made it easy for our small group. The fried rice was JUST what I needed. They adapted for my husbands gluten allergy and and our friends enjoyed their meals as well.
They can’t control the weird parking but if you are driving, park around back. We enjoyed the atmosphere as we are aware we are in Vegas.

Edited Review (Updated After Owner Response):
I visited 5 Dollar Café and am updating my review after reading the owner’s reply.
While the owner lists what is included in the $5 breakfast, they do not mention that no item on the menu includes water—not just the $5 breakfast. If you want water or any drink, you must purchase it separately. A drink on the menu costs $3.95, making the $5 breakfast $8.95 with a drink.
At that price point, the value is not competitive. For a similar amount, you can get a larger, better-quality breakfast with a drink at McDonald’s. I went there the following day and found the food quality and portion size to be significantly better. (Photos attached for comparison.)
The breakfast at 5 Dollar Café was very basic and low quality. I still tipped out of courtesy but did not receive a receipt.
Overall, the pricing is misleading, the owner’s response omits important details about drinks, and the value does not match what is advertised. I would not recommend 5 Dollar Café.

A LOT of people post their “best Vegas deals”, and are COMPLETELY missing this hidden gem across from the Strat! Food comes out piping HOT and fresh, my server E was so kind and attentive! Thank you Jesus for the amazing food, we will definitely come back here during our stay and bring our friends joining us THANK YOU!!!! Literally some of the best prices on the strip (subject to change), but totally worth the amazing service and food

Small cheap little hole in the wall but the food is 10/10. Extremely fresh and hot when served. We are foodies and this is probably one of the best Thai food I’ve had.

My fiancé and I ate breakfast here 3 days in a row. We stayed at one of the high end resort casinos on the strip. We venture on foot towards the Strat to find this little affordable cafe. Upon entering we found a non crowded little casino and the cafe. We were greeted by the friendly staff immediately walking up the ramp. We sat down order water and coffee. Much to our surprise the coffee was Lavazza. The water was a bottle of water for $1.00 no big deal it wasn’t tap water. We ordered our food which came out quite quickly. We chuckled about the paper plates and cups but really didn’t care because the prices were insanely cheaper than anything else that we had found. After eating and given two more coffee refills and lids to take them to go we paid, tipped, and told our waitress that we’d see her tomorrow. We definitely were satisfied with the food and the level of service. If you’re looking for a no frills meal with phenomenal service and affordable prices. This is the place to eat.

Do you love a crusty dive with solid basic diner food and also for some reason asian cuisine? This is the place for you. The service was also very good. My sandwich and breakfast potatoes were well seasoned and my boyfriend enjoyed his lo mein. Great deal but you have to appreciate the atmosphere for what it is.

I wanted to just eat some quick across the street from the hotel, walked over and ordered egg rolls and crab Rangoon, which are two of my favorite things to eat, and it was the best crab Rangoon. I’ve ate in my life. lol wish it was a little more privacy from the casino side, but still worth it

Before coming I said to my wife, “how can you mess up bacon and eggs, let’s try it.”. I now understand how you can mess up bacon and eggs, and the whole dining experience. Here’s how you do it: Buy your bacon at the 99 cent store, buy your hash browns in pre-formed stick configuration under the great value label at Wal Mart, serve wheat wonder bread, serve your meals on paper plates and your coffee in Styrofoam cups and charge a price that is not $5 (a bacon egg breakfast and a veggie omelette breakfast with one cup of coffee was still $31). Conclusion – don’t bother folks. Trust me on this one. Friendly server. Well meaning for sure. Tired facility making a last ditch effort to stay alive. They will continue to get one timers, but definitely no regulars. Can’t recommend this one.

Im writing this from my seat, so that I dont forget.
The food is phenomenal. Philly Cheesteak (no mushrooms) the best Ive ever had.
My wife is thoroughly enjoying her Chao Mein (chicken).
Staff welcoming and helpful.
The rough look is part of the charm. This is the experience of good honest cooking and service.
