Food was delicious, I would suggest there steak and shrimp fajitas. I called in to get take out and they don’t usually do take outs, but they still made accommodations for me. When I went to pick up my food the front end was very polite and happy. I’m very satisfied with the service and food.

5 De Mayo Mexican Restaurant at 603 South Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican food and friendly service. They have their own parking lot with plenty of spaces, making it easy to get in and out—especially convenient in that part of town.
The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The floors and tables were spotless, and even the bathrooms were clean and well-kept—something I always notice and appreciate.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. My server checked in often without being intrusive, and the food came out quickly and fresh. Speaking of food—it was outstanding. I had the queso birria, and it was absolute perfection. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the consomé (the dipping liquid) was rich, savory, and packed with bits of meat that added even more depth to the flavor.
The chips and salsa deserve their own shoutout. The chips were light, thin, and perfectly crisp—not the heavy, greasy kind you sometimes get. The salsa was blended smooth, not chunky, which I personally love. Every bite had that fresh, balanced kick that made it impossible to stop eating.
Their menu is extensive, with a wide variety of classic Mexican dishes and even a full vegetarian section. They also carry nearly every flavor of Jarritos Mexican soda, which is always a fun touch.
If you’re local, be sure to mention it—they really take care of their regulars and locals. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the dishes I saw coming out of the kitchen. Everything looked incredible.

Waiter said no jalapeños in the cheese dip and there was, mt dew wasn’t good, couldn’t taste the drink, had been on iPad the whole time we were there, produced cost is not the same as others. Only had one cook and one waiter.

Great place for good Tex-Mex. The food is good and they have decent beer selection on tap. The salsa was fresh and fantastic. The atmosphere is simple, but welcoming. The service is good. Plenty of parking.
