What a cool spot for dinner or drinks. We stopped in the off season and had full service. The bartender was John I believe and he as very friendly and attentive. The cheeseburger was perfect and the beer was cold. Nice photographs and a spot to play poker if you so choose.

The service by Hayden was very nice and he makes a great margarita. The margarita was simple and clean, very well made indeed. And my husband had the juicy IPA which he said was very good as well. We had the Chipotle burger and the pork tacos both of which were so good.

This being our first time we recommend a stop if you’re in the area.

If you’re visiting Escalante and someone says, “there’s only one pub in town to drink.” They’re serious. It’s 4th West and you will not be disappointed. The food is freshly prepared with care from the kitchen. The beer is cold and the margaritas aren’t bad either. Stop by and say,”Hi” to Dave and relax.

Excellent pub food and great beer and cider list for a small town transplanted.”Southern California” pub. The bartender “Dave, yes, The Dave” is knowledgeable, friendly and has good recommendations. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger with onion rings (blue cheeae, forever!) and a house salad, BC also. Dead Horse Amber Ale (good, hoppy) and a Mtn West Desolation Prickly Pear Cider to finish. The latter was dry, not sweet, very flavorful, 6.9% kick. Burger was.done right, served on a brioche bun and not oversauced. Salad cool crisp.spring greens, dressing on the side. This made the perfect end to a day of hiking on the Escalante river trails.

This was the only place open when we finished our hike. This is what happens when you have a monopoly on food after 7 pm. You can serve completely burnt, flavorless burgers with “toppings” and overpriced beers. You also get to put the customers beers on the bar without letting them know, a fun game where your food arrives before you realize your drinks have been sitting behind you the whole time. Then you get the joy of overpaying for both the burnt charcoal brisket of a hamburger patty and the acceptable beer. Avoid if you can, but let’s be honest where else can you go? Two stars simply because I’m grateful there was something open

A great pub with a billiards table and the game on the television. A very welcoming environment to accompany the good beer selection and fully stocked bar. The food menu has several options for any tastes or cravings you may have. The service was good as well as knowledgeable about the local attractions, The 4th West Pub is located centrally in a tourist town after all. I recommend stopping in for a bite to eat and a few drinks while in the area.

Visited this pub while staying in escalante for a hiking trip. We sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the bar tenders. Relaxed laid back atmosphere with board games to pass the time. We ordered the chicken sandwhich and a burger, both were great!

We went for a long hike yesterday and ended up running over time by almost 90 minutes which meant by the time we made it into town, all of the restaurants would be closed and we’d be doomed to a dinner of microwaved oatmeal. We called the Pub on our way into town and said we were probably going to arrive ten min before they closed and wanted to know if we could pick up a large takeout order. The staff was super understanding and had food ready for us as soon as we arrived (just before close)

Thank you for your kindness and understanding!!!
