This is the best coffee shop in the area. The coffee itself doesn’t have a burnt taste, and the flavors they use aren’t watery tasting like some others around. The everything bagel breakfast sandwich was tasty, and the black sugar/caramel iced latte was spot on. I think it’s great a town the size of Appleton City has been able to keep this place in business. I would be patronizing this coffee shop almost every day if I lived closer!

4th Street Fika is the best coffee I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot of coffee! Lol
Jonas, the owner, is Swedish and just an awesome person who cares about the experience of enjoying good coffee, and genuinely cares about his customers.

If you get a chance, its worth the experience!

My husband and I visited this charming town for their city-wide garage sales. We stopped at 4th Street Fika because we love coffee! The owner has a really cool story (no spoilers here ) so sit at the bar and listen. The hazelnut latte and cinnamon-raisin bagel were delicious!

Wow! This is an awesome Swedish coffeeshop in Appleton Missouri! It is located a little over an hour’s drive from Kansas City. The coffee is awesome and the home baked goods are fantastic. The crisp home made cracker (fröknäcke) with butter is a unique healthy snack item. The muffins, cinnamon rolls, and cookies have a rich flavor to them and are in true Swedish spirit in that they are not overly sweet. 4the Street Fika also serves rich chocolate coconut balls (choklad bollar) which reminds a swede of home. The ambience has a rustic culture to it and the decor reflects an eclectic American past. Comfortable furniture along with books and board games offer a great opportunity for social interaction and relaxation. Enjoy this place, folks!

Jonas and his family were excellent hosts. The coffee and pastries reminded me of my memories of traveling to Stockholm and enjoying Fika. The coffee and ambiance were incredible and Jonas’ stories about the history of the building and his family’s story were lovely to hear. Whether a day trip or just passing through be sure to stop by 4th Street Fika.
