No food just drinks. And you can buy a bottle and Merch. It’s called the 49er Bar because Alaska is considered the 49th state. Dude we had shot after shot. Had to go in…you could see the sign from across the street. Staff and patrons were very nice. Met who I think will be a long time friend.

They have pull tabs!! And great cold beer and pool. Every time I come to Ketchikan for our fishing trip I always make sure to come play some pull tabs and drink beer. If you have never done it just know you’ll 99 percent lose your money but it’s still fun. Last time I ended up winning $150 on $100 worth of pull tabs. You can order food from next door of the Burger Queen. This place is a staple of Ketchikan.

Awesome bar with pool tables, tvs playing the game, and great staff. Bartender made an excellent lemon drop. We enjoy meeting new people and this place was filled with a welcoming crowd. Easy to find across from the cruise ship. Add the 49’Er Bar to your Alaskan pub crawl

A great place to chill out away from the touristy hustle and bustle. Locals, cold beer, and fun chit chat. Had an ice cold Reiner lager beer and moved on. Bought a T shirt to. Great compass and ship design.

We were actually in Port and got a coffee and wanted to sit and drink it and the coffee shops next door to the bar and they said oh we own the bar too. Go sit in there. It’s air condition. Drink your coffee. Relax. Very nice people….

first bar I’ve been to alone in Ketchikan- never been this far NW! it reminds me of all the best parts of my growing up in Texas everyone was so sweet and made me feel welcome to Alaska

Wanted to edit: i don’t really have a biological mother and Regina randomly gave me some motherly advice, I really love Texas and will be back to buy people drinks and tip well since I don’t drink that much myself anymore. Huge fan of this sense of community.

This is a dangerous place. Don’t go here. Only went there once and I’ll never go there again. The bartenders got really drunk and chased me and my friend down the street trying to physically assault us. We ran away. Like only in ketchikan do the bartenders get belligerently drunk and chase people down the street. Literally we were over at the waterfront and were waking to catch a cab, minding our own business, until the bar tenders started yelling at us and trying to physically fight as we ran away. I have videos.

Because Alaska!
Everyone was super nice. 11/10 bartender with the kind eyes and the knowledge and skills to listen to exactly what I needed to do. Cracked a cold one and blew out the naerst available door. I forgot to tip her! I’ll be back!
