We had an amazing Valentine’s Day dinner at 45 Bistro! Our server, Sadie, was wonderful—so attentive and made the night feel extra special. The grilled Caesar salad was outstanding and so unique. The filet mignon was hands down the best steak we’ve had in a long time. The crab cakes and crème brûlée were both delicious. We will definitely be back!

We held our wedding dinner and reception here at 45 Bistro, and it was the best decision we could have ever made!! The food tasted AMAZING and was a beautiful presentation, the servers and staff went above and beyond, and the ambiance was everything we could have dreamed of! From the moment I called to check availability and gather information to the day after the wedding, and all of the discussions planning in between, Jenn and all of the staff we worked with provided the absolute best customer service, also including Laura, who took care of all of the florals, and Chef Christian went not only above and beyond just for us, but also to accommodate our daughter’s anaphylactic dairy allergy. We received nothing but praise from all of our guests on the food and servers. THANK YOU to all of you, from the bottom of our hearts! We look forward to coming back, and hopefully for all of our anniversary dinners as well.

Dined here and it didn’t disappoint!

We enjoyed the beet salad, roasted chicken and risotto. Beef carpaccio and scallops.

All were seasoned well and very delicious! Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Great food, good low key pleasant vibe. The table servers are wonderful. My wife and I visited twice and both times the male bartenders were disinterested and seemed bothered by us when they did finally come over and acknowledge us for our order. When I asked if I could pull and extra barstool from the corner to a very open area of the bar, the response was as if I asked if I could light the stool on fire. Good place, good food, experience brought down by the 2 male bartenders. We visit many bars, taverns and restaurants while traveling (its one of the best parts) these were the only “poor” experiences we had in Savannah, out of maybe 20 places. Shame, hope your experience will be better.

I chose this place to celebrate my wedding anniversary. We had a great time. My wife’s filet mignon was a perfect medium rare and my fresh snapper tasted delicious. Extensive wine selection. Server was a little busy, but made sure we’re taken care of. Very happy I chose this place. Make sure you get a reservation.

A wonderful dining experience at Bistro 45 a few days ago. We were very pleased with both the food and service, and we found the restaurant to be very cozy.

I particularly enjoyed the Tuna Tostada, Escargot, and Mozzarella Salad. My husband – his Tuna Carpaccio and Ribeye steak. For dessert, the Traditional Crème brûlée and Georgia Pecan Dacquoise were delicious! Our server was also very accommodating and professional.

A Great French bistro experience!

Food was very good. Mushroom risotto had parts that were slightly hard and crunchy. Cocktail presentation was sad but tasted good. Service was good- waitress was very fast – like so fast she leaves before I finish my sentence lol. Otherwise it’s a very beautiful inside with white linens, candles, and local artist artwork for sale. Connected to the hotel next door.

I really wanted to give this a better rating — 45 Bistro is an excellent restaurant once you get in the door.
We had an 8:00 PM reservation to celebrate a milestone birthday for my husband. We met some friends at the bar for a pre-dinner drink and I checked in with the host about 20 minutes beforehand. Unfortunately, our friends waited nearly 20 minutes just to get a drink at the bar, which didn’t feel very welcoming.
Then came the real issue — we weren’t seated until 9:00 PM. You might ask, why wait an hour? Because it was a special occasion, and the restaurant came highly recommended. Once seated, our server was wonderful, and the food was excellent — truly no complaints there.
That said, a few of the dishes and glassware were not completely clean — like they had skipped a run through the dishwasher — which was surprising for a place of this caliber. And before we even finished our entrées, we were asked to order dessert because the kitchen wanted to close. That felt rushed and disappointing after waiting so long to be seated.
What really stung, though, was that no one ever apologized — not at the bar, not at the host stand, not even when we left. Sitting in a nearly empty dining room after all that waiting was not the evening we had planned.
I’m sure not everyone has this experience, but the lack of attention to detail and the complete lack of acknowledgment for the inconvenience made what could have been a fantastic evening feel disheartening.

I’m really bummed to write this review because we were so excited to try a new place during our visit to Savannah. I booked reservations a few weeks in advance based on a recommendation from a local who said 45 Bistro had the best steaks.
We were seated just a few minutes after our reservation time, and I want to point out that our server was awesome. After I told her about my gluten allergy due to celiac disease, she explained what substitutions she recommended with the filet I ordered and said she would flag it with the kitchen to watch for cross-contamination. My partner ordered the espresso ribeye with fingerling potatoes and asparagus.
Unfortunately, my steak came out one stage away from being cremated, it was a hockey puck. The fingerling potatoes were burnt on the edges and raw on the inside. My partner’s steak was cooked perfectly; however, both the potatoes and asparagus were raw and not edible. When our server returned, she looked horrified by how overcooked my steak was and had them remake my meal.
The second filet came out slightly better, but not by much. It was dry and tough, and I only ate two bites. The potatoes were still undercooked. By that point, we had been there for over an hour, and I had lost my appetite due to how let down I felt by the experience. They did take my meal off the check; however, it was still such a disappointment especially after recently surviving a major surgery and looking forward to our first big outing in my favorite city.
I wish I had read the reviews instead of just taking one person’s recommendation, as it appears this has been an ongoing issue for at least a year. I also wish I could remember our waitress’s name, because she was the only positive part of our experience.
