We stopped here while in Jacksonville. It’s a small place next to the Indian grocery store. We ordered chole batura, mysore masala dosa and Vada pav. The quantity is decent for the price. The taste of chole was authentic with proper spice and served with chutney and gulab jamun The dosa was decent. The masala could use some spice. chutneys served with dosa were cold and seemed were warmed from frozen one. The Vada pav was decent too but can be little spicer. For Indian taste buds, seemed very mild. Overall decent place to grab a decent Indian meal. Prices are reasonable too.

Awesome place.
This is a great vegetarian and Indian spot. I’m a meat eater but I’ll gladly come here cause the food was amazing. The entree pictured is Masala Dosa (not on the physical menu, but you can still order it) – it was divine, comes with a little bowl of potato soup and 3 sauces. A friend of mine who lived in India recommended this place and said it’s the best, most authentic Indian in town. It’s also not fine dining like the other places in town are, so the prices are actually reasonable.

I popped in on a Monday at 3:20 and was kindly greeted. Placed a to go order for the samosas and the first special on the board. He told me it would be about a 10-15min wait. My son and I waited in a booth. The food was nicely packaged in a brown bag with handles. The paneer tikka masala was filled to the brim, closed and then carefully wrapped in plastic wrap to prevent any leaks or spills. The garlic naan was in parchment paper and foil. Everything was steaming hot and smelled delicious! We made it to our next appointment and while my son was in his appointment I dove in. It was all delicious! Thank goodness this place is an hour from my house or I would be in trouble. Already planning my next visit. I want to come try to the lunch buffet. Brought the leftovers home and my 7yr old devoured them. It’s hard to find good vegetarian Indian food as good as I make it and this really hit the spot.

The photo shows one samosa, the order comes with two. I had already eaten one.

Outstanding food and service. We ordered samosa chaat, vegetable spring rolls, butter naan, cheese naan, masala dosa and paneer makhani. Every one of us was raving about the food, each dish was so delicious. I highly recommend.

Was definitely a great experience, my best friend is a vegetarian and also is converting over to vegan. I however am not a vegetarian whatsoever but the food was absolutely amazing in my opinion!!! I just looked up vegan/vegetarian options in my city througj google and looked through the reviews and they did not disappoint! Rachel was very friendly and informative on options and all I had to do was show her photos from Google reviews to order and she Helped out. 100% recommended I will definitely be coming here with my best friend again since this is something I can do with her. Very clean restaurant might I add, & love that it wasn’t over crowded. Very filling, had enough to take a to go box!

I went to the Indian grocery next door to pick up some beets and just happened to stumble upon this restaurant. We were greeted right away and ordered some masala chai, mango lassi, a very decorated dosa (I forget the name), samosa chat, an assortment of naan, and navratan korma. Everything came out in a timely fashion and was cooked perfectly. The dosa came with the assortment of dipping sauces and sambal which really hit the spot on a cold day like today. The samosa chat was the perfect texture of creamy, crunchy, and saucy. The curry was nice and flavorful and the bread was delicious and fresh out of the oven. We will definitely be coming back again to try other dishes!

We stopped by on our way to Ginnie springs for lunch and loved it so much that decided to be back again for dinner on our way back the next day. We ordered chole bhature, pani puri, medu vada, noodles and idli and everything was delicious. My only complain was that the idli that they served the second time didn’t taste as soft and fresh as the day before. But I’ll definitely stop by here again if I ever have the opportunity. The price is reasonable and good portion size. Great place for an amazing vegetation/vegan meal. It’s a family run business and the place is clean and well maintained.
P.S: An additional thing that I liked is that they don’t charge higher price for the dinner unlike a lot of restaurants that have exactly the same menu with higher prices for dinner!

I live in St. Petersburg, and whenever I travel, I must stop here to have lunch. I’ve traveled, been to India, and many restaurants here in the States, and nothing really comes close, until I found Bombay Cafe. Every meal has been precisely appointed and balanced with flavor, heat, and beautifully plated. Further, staff will curate how to eat the meal, with best practices and pairings to experience each bite to the fullest. Although this place is strictly vegetarian (and they tell you up front), we are not vegetarian, and do not miss meat eating here. You will leave nourished and satisfied. I wish we had a Bombay Cafe here in the ‘Burg! We’d eat there every week!

If you like food, pls stay away from this place. You will lose all interest if you eat here. We ordered 8 items and 4 drinks- first our food was served after 1 hr , no crowd day, then what arrived was unbelievably pathetic. Our party, inspite of being extremely hungry , could not even eat 1 entree. We ordered gobi manchurian – so tangy none of us could eat , dosa – horrible chutney that were sweet and sambhar was all water with no taste, chole bhature – sweet chole, paneer naan – who gets this wrong ! We will NOT be returning ! Yikes. Stay away
