Food was okay. The waitress said the onion rings were thin and like The yardarm restaurant but they were not. They were heavier and a bit greasier. Burger was huge perfectly cooked. Very generous portion of scallops and very good tasting.

We had a weekend wedding in Cape Cod. For our rehearsal dinner, we came to 400 East. From the moment we contacted them, they were nothing but accommodating to us. We set everything up with Rich. He laid out all our options. He let us know the two different pricing points depending on how many guests we had. We ended up with over 30 people, so they gave us the back room so we had private space away from the rest of the customers. Ruby was our server. She did a fantastic job. She was right on top of everything the whole evening. Was constantly checking in on us to see how things were going and if we needed anything.

The one thing I’ve learned about Cape Cod is that most places you go, the food is good. 400 East was no exception. We had three main choices plus salad, rolls, cheese tray, and fruit. Chicken fingers are good, but a little dry. They gave us the most amazing buffalo sauce to go with it. I’m not sure if it was homemade or a jar, but it was amazing. I took a piece of bread to clean my plate with the excess sauce. My favorite was the sausage and peppers. They cut them in shapes to allow all the flavor to seep in. They used red and yellow peppers. I’ve never been to a restaurant that used yellow peppers. I think restaurants everywhere should start doing that. One of the best sausage and peppers I’ve ever eaten. My fiancé thinks it’s because they added a little red sauce into the mix. We also had penne à la vodka. I liked it, but some of my guests from New York kept complementing how good it tasted. They were all surprised that Italian food in Cape Cod could be this good. Weather going for dinner or hosting a family party, I highly suggest 400 East. Five stars on the service and hospitality, four stars for the food.

This restaurant is not far off RT 6 and across the street from Stop and Shop. In a small plaza. It has the comfortable fell of a local bar and very good food. I got backed scallops special and my wife got the fried cod fish that was also very good. The cod fish was lightly fried. My scallops were cooked well and nice and tender. This spot is a great stop for casual good dinning.

400 East is a comfortable atmosphere. It’s not modern or outdated. It’s family, or should I say local. I love coming to Cape on a busy travel day knowing that when I’m hungry these guys have a seat for me, and you. The bartenders remember you, the wait staff are apologetic (with no need to be, they have exceptionally high standards on their service)genuinely. The food is comfort, saying “welcome, time to relax”, And you do. Wait isn’t long but your not in a rush to begin with, you have arrived. Sip or guzzle, no judgement in a peaceful, friendly atmosphere. Not on water but perfect just to get in, sit down, embibe with a deep breath. Easy going and with a neighborly flair. Try it out and see if you agree. I’ll guarantee you’ll return.

Good, fresh, consistent food and friendly service. We love the lobster Caesar and the prime rib (special on Thurs, Fri and Sat) is a good portion but not much flavor without the au jus. Good soups and sandwiches.

Ordered take out for lunch for 3 people. I ordered a med rare pattimelt and please add sauteed mushrooms. My patti melt was so over cooked it was more then well done, dry and no mushrooms.. totally inedible. I called and spoke with Rick (he took the order) Told him the situation and his response was … oh I see the order here I put it in as well done so its my fault not the kitchen, sorry…. and that was it…. so I paid $13 for nothing and gave a $4 tip!!! NOT HAPPY when I asked my other co- workers how their burgers were, the burgers were cooked perfect but missing thing like Mayo they asked for.
