I placed a to go order #218 on 1/6/2026. And needless to say I am very disappointed with what I received. Literally half my order was missing and the half I did receive was cold, small portioned, and messy like it was just thrown in the bag. I ordered the 2×2 with the burnt ends and sausage. The sausage was missing, and the burnt ends were messy and looked like they were mixed with something. Both cookies I ordered were missing. To say I am disappointed is an understatement, because I’ve had good food here before. After this I’m not sure if I’ll be returning.

The brisket is some of the best we’ve ever had, and the burnt ends are absolutely fabulous! Their signature sauce is a little sweet with a little spice, and a little smoke flavor…YUM! If you like bread pudding, they’ve added a twist with bananas foster and caramel. We might come back just for more of that!!!

I’m leaving a good review because I feel like the restaurant absolutely deserves it. It seems to be very unbusy for how good the food is. I go there maybe twice a month and there is never anyone in the drive threw or inside. The food is always fresh and very good. They have great things on their menu that you wouldn’t get anywhere else and they have a great selection of sweet treats that is different from any other fast food type restaurant. This restaurant has different food than the average quick food type restaurant and they’re responsibly priced. I also really like the kids menu. Instead of chicken fingers and cheeseburgers, they have good options for kids. The staff is very friendly and the inside is very clean and organized.

Ordered ribs burnt ends bbq chicken quarters baked beans coleslaw French fries, Ribs were tender fall off bone and delicious. Burnt ends were ok but not what I was expecting. Some pieces were hard and tough and others were shredded like pulled pork. I got 3 leg quarter bq chicken and It was not cooked all way through I had to put it in microwave due to it was not cooked fully. Baked beans and coleslaw was average at best. Expected more tang with the slaw and more Smokey flavor with the baked beans. French fries were put in a paper bag closed and then put in a plastic bag. They were all soft and mushy by time I got home like they were being steamed by the way they were packaged. For the price I paid was not happy with the quality of the food. Only thing that was good was the St. Louis baby back ribs.

Our first time here and oh my the food was amazing!!!! We had 2 combos 1 -1/4 Rib with Cole slaw. baked beans and cornbread and a Pulled chicken with Cole slaw, baked beans and cornbread and I have to say it was delicious and so filling!!! Staff was super friendly and very helpful. And the place was super clean which is another A+ for us. Definitely our new go place!!!!

This was our first time there. We stood at the counter for a few minutes trying to decide what we wanted, and they did not try to rush us. We asked questions and they were so helpful. They offered samples and explained everything. We placed our order and took it to our table. We had a ½ chicken, smoked sausage, pulled pork, and their version of burnt ends. Sides were fried okra, collards, sweet potato souffle, and green beans. Desserts were hello Dolly and bayou. They even have a sink by the door so you can wash your BBQ covered hands and face. We will ABSOLUTELY be back. As for BBQ sauce, they don’t bury it. They have 2 kinds, hot and not hot, but you don’t like the smoke flavor… Don’t go to a smokehouse!!! I always say, if you have to cover it in sauce you must have something to hide, and they don’t have anything to hide. Well done 4 Rivers, well done.
