Ashly was a great server and even helped us with a special menu item for the kids. Her smile was welcoming as this was our first time here and to Oakland. This diner tucked quietly inside the Motel is a gem of a diner. I had to try the liver and onions which was fabulous as well was the kids meal. We will be back and it’s worth the drive and the atmosphere was like stepping back in time to a genuine family style diner. Thanks for the service and the cooks deserve kudos as well.

I stopped in at this diner after taking an emergency trip to the CVS next door for some sudden health issues. I was having a really rough day, but the staff was so kind and attentive. Their food was really fresh, comforting, and delicious. On top of that, their dessert selection was amazing. Sometimes a really good pie can make your day better, and I know theirs certainly improved mine.

Stopped in for brunch on Sunday morning. Service was excellent, we were seated and served quickly even though it was packed. We got pancakes and two burgers, the patties were really well seasoned and the fries were super crispy. Everything was delicious, I’d definitely recommend!!

Our waiter was Tracey she was amazing. I got the Hot Turkey Sandwich and Fries it was really good and my client had a Hot Roast Beef Sandwich and Mashed Potatoes and he enjoyed every bite. This place was absolutely good!

We decided to try out this little Diner in Oakland, Md when we were on the Bike. I’m sure glad we did! Great Food ,Excellent Service! I got a Cheese Burger and Fries(Good Diner Burger) and My Wife got the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with Fries and Gravy over everything(Definitely a 5 Star Meal)! They have so many Desserts next time we stop we’re starting with Desserts First!! We’ll definitely be back!!

Authentic small town diner feel with an excellent, cheerful staff. Clearly a favorite with the locals and no shortage of good vibes. However was disappointed by their breakfast combo; hash browns were undercooked and flavorless, scrambled eggs were rubbery, and bacon felt like it was cooked on an oven rather than a skillet or pan. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing at the wrong time.
Highly recommend 3rd Street Diner to anyone in town, but experiment with the menu to figure out what their specialties are!

I loved the 5 Cheese Omelet. It is so good. And if you stay at the Oak Mar Hotel you don’t even have to drive to go to breakfast. The prices are really reasonable and it is just a nice, cozy small town atmosphere. The ladies who work here are super nice! And you have to ask them about Mr. Kitty!
