When restaurant people stare at a big brick building with a garage interior next to a parking lot that screams out “fun!”, they can’t help but think “Barbeque!”. And real BBQ fans can’t help but think “Texas!” and “wood burning!” and … well… “fun!”, so that’s what we decided to do. At 317 BBQ, we take a Hoosier approach to Texas-style barbecue by offering all your favorite side dishes paired with real, hard-wood smoked barbecue. For now, we are carryout & delivery only; however, this spring, we will provide the perfect atmosphere for the entire community to come and experience scratch cooked food, craft beer and the connection we’ve so sorely missed during COVID.

We enjoyed dinner and beers last night at 317 BBQ. Food took longer than normal to come out due to an event and just order timing, but the workers were apologetic and friendly. The brisket was flavorful and fairly moist, and the smoked chicken and chorizo sandwich was also quite tasty. We also enjoyed the mac and cheese, which is notably not overly cheesy or creamy but instead lighter and more subtle – something we appreciated. Decent Cole slaw too, and the deviled eggs appetizers were good. Good local beer selection in the back room. The back room has the beer bar and a more lively atmosphere, while the front room is more chill and houses the kitchen.

First time at this restaurant. The service was great. The deviled eggs were good but that bacon jam on top was delicious. I can’t say much for the ribs, or the baked beans. My daughter loves mac and cheese but this was doing too much and it was greasy. She liked the fries and that honey pepper biscuit was delicious. The banana pudding was ok it tasted like watered down banana pudding. Sorry I have to be honest.

Stopped on a road trip because teh interwebs said it had solid gluten free options for my cousin. I had brisket nachos and white cheddar mac-n-cheese. Absolutely delicious. It was a slow day, Sunday early afternoon. The weather outside was cold and snowy. But the place has a cool vibe and I’m betting when the weather is nice it’s an awesome place to hang with friends. If you’re in the area do yourself a favor, grab some people and go have a good time!

Everytime I come here I’m like “I need to take pictures and review it” the food comes out and I completely forget. We frequent this spot and love it. Their sauces are the best, this place is LIGHTYEARS ahead of Half Liter and other popular bbq spots, vibe is always immaculate and the indoor/outdoor seating options are great in any weather. Good for groups or casual and date night too. Pics of dinner after we demolished it.

So we went to this place based off the good reviews today. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! in the attached, photo is what we order plus a cookie that was hard as rock and banana pudding that had no flavor to it at all. The brisket was dry, flavorless, with no smoky taste to it and the street corn missing something just can’t catch what it was but I could have did it out it. Chili dip with the fries was mediocre. No good service the staff did not check in on us while we was eating to see how the food was or if we needed refills kind just when they was bringing the check. Will not be coming back to this restaurant at all. Don’t waste your time Or money here. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!.. and I don’t know who is leaving these good reviews but they should be sue..lol…

Great place with a good vibe, nice outdoor area, games to play, the food was pretty decent, loved the deviled eggs, burnt ends (sauce was amazing) and pulled pork, the sides were just ‘meh’ to me otherwose would have given 5 stara all the way.

I had the opportunity to visit this place during a recent road trip from Dayton, and it did not disappoint!
