Amazing meal. Trout Rilette, Chanterelle & Leek Crêpes, Duck Leg Confit, Fisherman’s Stew, Cavatelli and Fruit Crisp were all delicious. Had a bottle of Pinot Blanc from Alsace and a 1/2 btl of Gigondas from the Rhone. I really love it when restaurants have a decent selection of 1/2 btls. As we were 3 and it was a week night, two bottles would have been too much.
Service was spot on and it is a beautiful restaurant. Will be back!

Bistro 315 is, quite possibly, the best restaurant in Santa Fe.

Everything about this place feels special. The atmosphere is intimate, elegant, and effortlessly cool—like a little slice of Europe tucked right into downtown Santa Fe. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and dinner becomes an experience rather than just a meal.

The food is outstanding. Every dish is prepared with precision, balance, and confidence. Classic French bistro favorites are elevated without losing their soul. Whether it’s steak frites, fresh seafood, or seasonal creations, everything feels intentional and memorable.

The wine list is exceptional—thoughtfully curated with beautiful French selections and plenty of interesting choices beyond. It’s clear that wine is taken seriously here, and it shows.

And then there’s the chef. His presence adds something intangible to the room. You can feel the passion, the creativity, and the pride behind every plate. Plus, he’s a little dreamy, which certainly doesn’t hurt.

Bistro 315 isn’t just one of Santa Fe’s best restaurants—it’s one of its greatest treasures.

My wife selected 315 for our anniversary dinner on a Friday night. We had been there a while back and I recall being impressed. My memory was accurate. We arrived a little early but were quickly greeted and seated. The service was impeccable from beginning to end. Our appetizer and drink order was taken immediately, bread and water was on the table in the blink of an eye. Exquisite appetizers were quickly followed by the main course of duck and lamb, both served medium rare and to perfection. Desert was spectacular as was the wine and drink menu. As great as the food was, the service made this a special event for us. Truly a Santa Fe gem!

Visited to celebrate an anniversary. Staff greeted and seated us immediately upon arrival. The drink menu is extensive. The food menu includes a good variety of appetizers, salads, and entrees. We started with a cheese plate, which included a nice variety of cheeses — everyone found a cheese they raced over (all different). For entrees, we ordered trout, pumpkin ravioli, and homemade cavatelli. All of the dishes were flavorful and presented beautifully. For dessert, we ordered creme brule, mango sorbet, and raspberry sorbet. Again, everything was delicious and beautiful. Our server was highly attentive the entire night and was knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning so we can try additional menu items. Everything was prepared perfectly and the flavors were incredible. A perfect choice for a cozy celebratory meal!

We’re locals, and we’ve dined here twice so far. It’s bizarre that they receive mixed reviews. The ambiance is fantastic. The service is excellent – attentive, fun and passionate staff. The food is GREAT. The drinks are great – creative, artisanal cocktails and an extensive wine list. We’re very much looking forward to future visits. One of the best restaurants in Santa Fe. You will enjoy it!

Santa Fe is full of good restaurants and great restaurants but if only one downtown Santa Fe restaurant survives the Zombie Apocalypse I hope it’s 315. Needless to say, this is one of our go-tos for SF fine dining, especially for out-of-town visitors. It’s popular with both locals and visitors, and for the latter it’s within walking distance of everything downtown. If it’s just the two of us we choose one of the bar’s hightops, or the wine-centric bar itself. Inside you’ll find several charming small rooms. It’s like dining in someone’s home. Wait, that’s exactly what it is because this WAS once someone’s home. Outside are patio tables along the front and along the side, inside the wall. The friendly and welcoming owner has offered an excellent, seasonal, creative, and perfectly-executed menu for many years. The new younger co-owner is dedicated to continuing the tradition for many years to come. The service is always top notch. A new part of the menu is the Fish House menu (well, it’s either new or I never looked on the back), which offers many seafood options. On our most recent visit we enjoyed the seared foie gras, mussels, seafood stew, Softshell crab, stuffed squash blossoms, and chocolate banana dessert. And a tip about the fries. They have two kinds, one of which is shoestring-thin, the other thicker. I love the thin ones, which can be substituted in the dishes that normally come with the thick ones. We’ll be back soon.

Great Christmas Eve dinner. Prix fixe, but all the courses had ample choices and everything was absolutely delicious. Our server, Johnny “on the spot” was just the right kind of attentive with a perfect attitude. Extensive and high quality wine selection.

Bistro 315 is one of our favorite places to dine in Santa Fe. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and feels like a bit of New York City combined with a French Bistro and Bar is in our town. Chef Louis has done an amazing job by creating this lovely place that is typically consistent with it’s food and service. We love the wait staff who is always warm and attentive. The bartenders serve up excellent cocktails and the French wine selection is off the charts. One of our favorite dishes is the French Fried Chicken! An elegant “comfort” food indeed! Try the Oysters and the Mussels too! Thank you Louis for doing an amazing job! We know you work hard in creating an amazing “product”! Five-stars to Bistro 315!

Dinner party with 11 from the Santa Fe Foodies group, once again, everyone was blown away by the food and service. We had an excellent pre-fix menu, French Onion Soup or Caesar salad (my wife and I tried one each), both were superb. Steak Frites was to die for; perfectly cooked medium-rare, with a char on the outside and great seasoning. Frites were thin, super crispy, and the judge of great fries; zero need for ketchup. My wife had the grilled Branzino, which was outstanding. Minor flaw in the Pots de Crème: a bit overcooked and not as smooth, but with great chocolate flavor. The Tiramisu wasn’t ‘classic’ but super yummy. Service was perfection from Zach. Easily one of the top 3-5 Restaurants in this town filled with great Restaurants.

We had a lovely dinner. I wouldn’t say it’s the most exceptional French restaurant, but there were some nice surprises. The fried chicken was good, not great but was tender. The mussels were delicious, especially the sauce. The raclette appetiser was fairly good, different to other raclettes I’ve had. The dessert (molten cake) was served cold and a little too rich. For the price it was pretty good. Service was great.
