We were treated like royals! The wait staff was very cordial, the food was phenominal, and the vibe was relaxing. Would’ve been better if they put jazz music in the background. But overall, we had a great dinner in this amazing restaurant! I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to create a lasting dining experience.

Great experience. Nice wait staff. Not busy on a Saturday night. Great drinks. I almost forgot we weren’t dining alone. It was nice. But the music could have been better.

I just had the most lovely brunch at 30 Boltwood. Drinks were as gorgeous as they were delicious. I think I found my favorite drink of all time, the Mammoth but the other drinks we ordered were also 5 stars. The service was impeccable. Michael was such a wonderful server and absolutely made the experience: attentive, knowledgeable, welcoming. He really made our experience. The hostess, whose name I wish I had gotten, was also so wonderful and welcoming, she even offered to take our photo to capture the experience and checked to see if we were comfortable outside or wanted to move tables (it was just on the cusp of being a little warm). The food was delicious, quality, and had great portions. And I was surprised how reasonable it was for the quality and atmosphere. I felt the menu had just the right balance of options for everyone but streamlined. We ordered the lobster roll, Turkish eggs, and the traditional breakfast and each was very delicious. I highly recommend sitting outdoors, such a beautiful setting, but the inside was lovely as well and would be nice on a cold or too hot day. Overall 5 Stars and a huge thank you and 10 Stars to Michael! I will be back regularly.

Came here for dinner to celebrate graduation. The dinner menu changes every now and then, and it’s been a while for me so I was very pleasantly surprised! We got a couple of apps, cocktails, then I got the scallops, which were delicious. I love the interior as well. We finished with dessert and we tried all three, and all were very yummy!!! It was a busy night so I recommend making a reservation in advance just in case. Although, I will say that there was a mishap with our reservation at first— my friend called to reserve a table and had evidence of the call, yet upon arrival, we were told there was no reservation made for us and that they were fully booked… thankfully, another party there suddenly decreased size and therefore we were able to be seated promptly. Our waiter was so sweet about this, putting our drinks on the house and apologizing deeply. He said that there have been issues with the reservation software, but that they’re working to fix it. Just keep note of when and how you made your reservation and you should be fine.
I definitely recommend a try for more upscale food/vibes if you’re in the area. Yum!!!!!!!

I visit Amherst every 2 to 3 months to see my now hundred-year-old mother. In the last 18 months, I’ve been taking her and others to this restaurant. The food and service have been reliably excellent. They have been gracious in seating us where it is quiet given my mom‘s hearing challenges.

Spent $45 for the prix fixe during restaurant week and chose to have zucchini fritters, stinging nettle gnocchi, and basque cheesecake. Alongside with their Reed Farms Chicken and a cocktail. Sad to say the dessert and drink were the best part.

Zucchini Fritters sat in measly bed of arugula which helped to complement the absence of flavor in the fritters. Which just felt like eating all fries and no french.

Stinging Nettle Gnocchi was just good, but the gnocchi was so overcooked (mushy and gummy).

Reed Farms Chicken had great gravy, but carrots only resembled them in looks with no regards to that earthy taste we were looking for. And everything else was (barely) palatable as the strongest flavor of the night (before the cocktail) the glacé was far too salty.

Basque cheesecake was good with the highlight of it being the strawberry compote that surrounded the dessert like the most of a castle.

Great service though from our waiter who was able to put a candle on the dessert for our special occasion. Hopefully it was just an off night for them, we may revisit much later in the future.

Had lamb and a gnocchi with Butternut and delicata. Both were delicious. Steven was friendly, professional, and very attentive. Awesome night. This is our second time and both have been fantastic.

We had the pork schnitzel( it was horrible) and the steak frites (it was pretty good). The poutin was very, very greasy, I didn’t enjoy it, just didn’t like it at all. And the cocktail was good.

Best food we had on our Massachusetts college tour. Clam chowder better than in Boston, steak better than in Cambridge, service better than anywhere we have been in the last few days.

We planned a summer wedding with 15 guests, just immediate family.

Our ceremony was held at Abbey Chapel in South Hadley MA. We were looking to have dinner after the ceremony and photography. So a 4pm dinner on a Sunday.

My friend and I began at the Chapel, walking in and out of restaurants just to get a feel for the atmosphere, the mood, the vibe and take a peek at menus.

We had spent the evening walking in and out of about 5 restaurants. So many were not open on Sundays or the vibe was just off, or the food was just basic.

I felt discouraged.

We googled one more restaurant for the night before we almost gave up.

I felt like 30Boltwood was the place just from driving up to the location before we walked into the restaurant.

It is located in picturesque Amherst, across from the center green.

There was a moody outdoor fire pit outside, outdoor seating, a rooftop deck….

But best of all a private room perfect for about 15 adults for dinner.

The menu is farm to table and changes based on what is available, it doesn’t get much better than that.

It was not too too fancy for our simple wedding but quality food and a beautiful location.

My now, Husband commented that it felt it was homey.

The staff created a 3 course menu for our event specifically, since we were over the normal dinner party size, to use the regular dining menu.

The menu had Gluten Free options and V/Veg options, which is reason we decided on this location, so everyone could find something to enjoy.

There was space between the courses, which helped us to slow down and enjoy the moment more. I didn’t feel we were in the way or a burden, the vibe was more like this space is yours. The staff was not rushing us out the door, they wanted us to stay.

We really enjoyed ourselves.

Our reservation was at 4pm on a Sunday in July, and I think we were there about 4 hours.

The room has the vibe of a green house, with one wall and part of the ceiling made out of glass. There were curtains to provide shade in case of sun, so I didn’t feel like we would melt or be cooked. The windows looked out onto a deck.

It was a beautiful environment.

The food was so delicious, it felt fancy and special and most importantly fresh. The food was served hot (I have been to weddings where the food was cold…in contrast).

The staff was professional, they were patient with us, as well as kind and thoughtful.

We brought in an outside cake from Auntie Cathy’s Kitchen, Agawam MA, so it could be Gluten Free & V. The waitstaff was so thoughtful and asked if we wanted to do a little cake cutting moment. So we did a faux cake cutting for fun. The staff then actually cut the cake and served it to everyone.

This was a detail I had missed and I was thankful for their thoughtfulness in giving us the gentle nudge that this was available to us.

I had dropped off the cake on Friday for safe keeping, I was thrilled that the cake would be in a safe location, and not melt in my car during the ceremony. I felt it was in good hands.

The waitstaff was never “lurking” but they were so observant and gave us space to be a family. They were professionals and clearly had experience and were very knowledgeable, on the menu.

The room was separate from the bar, which was helpful for a member of our party is sober. They had mocktails which makes everyone feel included.

Overall 10/10 for a micro mini wedding experience. It was an easy choice, based solely on a vibe check of walking in and out of restaurants. I had never been there before and I am so glad we made reservations here.

Dietary restrictions: One of the reasons we selected this restaurant was the fact that they had V/Veg and Gluten Free items on the menu to accommodate different restrictions.

Parking: We visited on a Sunday and the sign said Free Parking on Sundays, so our guests parked on the street in front of the restaurant
