Being a “gringo” from Miami, when I see Cuban food in the land of tacos and bbq, I always stop and check it out.
The service was great, the owner is friendly and helpful with the menu. After I ordered she said, “thank you for trying my food” just an authentic woman making authentic Cuban food.
Now let’s get to the food, the smell from opening up the carton immediately took me back to Versailles on Calle Ocho.
The taste did not disappoint either, I got the bistec encebollado, it was delicious and a lot of food. The real star of the show was the plantains, they were perfectly done.
I have 3 suggestions, add aroz con pollo (the yellow rice version) and palomilla steak.
Lastly move closer than east round rock!

I have had the Mass Frita here many times and it is consistently delicious. I do wish they would change up the sides as I prefer the easy it is normally served in Miami, with Arroz Blanco, Frijoles Negros and Madurai’s . (My three year old won’t eat it with Tostones and Congo! Overall, though some of the best Cuban food in the area. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend the flan or Tamale but the main dishes are on point and the service is friendly!

I personally love the Cuban sandwich and the coffee that espresso coffee. You can’t find that anywhere here that is great and these people are always cheerful and everything is done quickly. I just love coming here. The atmosphere is very nice.

We had the Angus burger, and let me tell you — it’s better than any burger in town! The beef is top-notch quality. We also tried the chuletas ahumadas with congrí and maduros, and it was absolutely amazing — you can taste the authentic Cuban seasoning in the congrí, which is to die for.
We also had the chicken tenders with fries, which were great, and the croquetas de bacalao, chorizo, and jamón — perfectly toasty, crunchy, and full of flavor.
For drinks, we had batidos de mamey, chocolate, and strawberry — all delicious — and of course, we couldn’t skip the flan!
The prices are very affordable, and the portions are huge. We’re so happy we discovered this newly opened gem and will definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend!

First visit is 10/10! Their made to order Arroz Frito was worth every bit of our 1.5 hr drive in from Burnet. Food is delicious and fresh; service is warm and attentive. We will definitely be back and look forward to working our way through the menu. Thanks 305 Twin’s!
