Wow! Excellent food and service! I had a salad and linguine. The salad was fresh and had lots of veggies in it besides lettuce. The linguine was super delicious! Cheese, meat and a variety of veggies. Big portions! Served with awesome flat bread. Worth the drive from Kansas City!

My wife and I are retired, so often we like to take day trips around the Kansas City area; checking out new towns and unique restaurants in those towns. The other day we drove down to Holden, Missouri and were fortunate to find ourselves in the 2nd Street Bistro. It was just the kind of place we like to seek out; a unique NON-CHAIN eatery with its own charm and ambience. We ordered the smoked meats pizza and it was absolutely amazing! I have to say that it was one of the best pizzas that I have ever experienced in my (long) life. The crust was especially delicious, and the owner of the place told us later that he makes his own flour, and you could certainly taste the quality and craft of its preparation. This place is well worth the short drive!

Talk about a diamond in the ruff. This place was most excellent. Coal fired pizza was the best .Crust was crispy toppings were plentiful. They clearly use quality ingredients right down to the shaker cheese and red pepper.

2nd Street Bistro is one of the best little hidden gems of the Midwest. Their wood fired pizza is by far my favorite pizza. The crust is bready, tender, and airy. The selection of toppings is phenomenal. They offer pasta (as pictured) which is delicious but you will crave their pizza at all times of the day.

The pizza here is delicious and huge portions for the money. What a blessing for a small town to have such good food available. The staff is so friendly. As promised we came back again for pizza. Again perfectly prepare and cooked. We love the pizza here. The sauce is awesome!

The calzones here are phenomenal! Quite possibly the best we have ever had. Surprised to find such great calzones here in small town Midwest. Fresh ingredients, cheesy, brick oven baked, and fantastic homemade sauce. We will definitely be back for calzones and to try more items.

I love this place! If you blink you may drive right past it, but it’s a great place to eat. Delicious, wood-fired pizzas. My favorite is the potato pizza! Definitely worth the drive!
