Best burger in the high dez? The Beer Co Smash is one of the best burgers I’ve experienced. Period.
This young restaurant (celebrating 1 year) is a gem! Unassuming storefront, laid back vibe, straight-up no-frills menu, they focus on what matters—good food & good service. Spacious dining room and large dog-friendly patio provide a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. And did I mention the food… Their signature burger may be the best in the high desert. And with spots like SBR and Grnd Sqrl sitting on the same block, that’s saying something.

29 Pals Beer is a great stop for a high quality experience. The beer is very good! I tried several, all would rate over 4.0, their Sour had just the right tartness to it. If you like reds, you’ll enjoy their take on it. But the Dessert Gumball is worth the trip alone. An experience all to itself.
We shared a meal of the grilled cheese and tomato soup, with one of the many hot dogs they offer. I went for the brisket dog. 5.0 for sure!
You can grab a crowler to take into Joshua Tree National Park as well!
As we hit the road we realized the coffee shop connected. Amazing brews both spots! We save a cold brew for the drive and it was great.

We decided to go on Christmas Day since they were open. Had a very pleasant conversation with the owners and brew master.
Their beer is some of the best I’ve had and coming from San Diego- that speaks volumes. I have tried quite a few of their beers and every one was very flavorful.

The beer was okay; both the IPA and Ale were light and citrusy. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d give it a solid 6.5. The turkey burger was tasty, and I really liked it…just don’t be surprised by the absence of fries. Overall, for a “forbidden land” like 29 Palms, it’s not bad, and at least you can pretend you’re back in the city.

Turkey smashed burger was very tasty but slightly salty for my taste. Cider on tap was very yummy. Quick, good food, satisfying. Yeah, good place for lunch. Partner’s hazy pale ale and smash burger were great too. Not a huge menu but good stuff. Seat yourself, pay right after you order. Lots of big screens showing a hockey game and the Winter Olympics. Efficient and chill.

A small group of us were in town briefly and ventured here for their Trivia night (in which we won). While also partaking in their beers & food (in which we enjoyed). This is big city food & beer in a small town. The beers were fantastic along with the food. Highly recommend!

Smashburgers are best I’ve ever had and the beer is terrific. The food&bev NEVER disappoints. The true stellar standout of this business is the staff. Hannah is BY-FAR the best food service pro I’ve ever encountered. From flawlessly remembering our orders to executing them and the happiest demeanor in 29Palms. Couldn’t be happier to have found come across this restaurant. 5Stars+

A gem in 29 Palms!
Food was a little pricey and flavor was okay but the drinks are good.
Glad that they have sampler (flights) options. We love the Blonde beer!
We saw that they also offer breakfast and they have good reviews on that. Will definitely come back to try that!
A must visit when in the area!

Stopped here for some food and beer after a hike. All of the beer options were amazing (Yes, we tried them all) and they are brewed in house. The food was amazing as well, we had two hot dogs. To top it off, all of the staff were personable and knowledgeable in their craft. 29 Palms Beer Company is the perfect combination of brewery and sports bar.

I’m gonna be honest the only reason it’s a 4 star, not a 5, is the uncomfortable seating. The bar stools look really cool, but myself and my two friends immediately started complaining about the seats when we sat down. We could only barely make it through one round of drinks and then had to leave to regain feeling in our legs lol. Unfortunately, the outside seats aren’t super bigger person friendly either, so maybe we’ll be back when it’s cooler and lounge outside on the patio furniture in the middle of the patio. With all that being said, we all loved our beers and my fancy Skaagen hot dog and the dilly potato salad, it reminds me of refreshing European cuisine. The staff were all great. I really hope this place sticks around and grows, we are way overdue for a nice brewery up in the morongo basin.
